Peru birding with an unforeseen extension
Peru - Surf and Turf. Fantastic coastal and high mountain birdwatching tour of Peru. Jose was able to re-organise the trip at short notice meaning that even natural disasters like landslides, or even a situation where our rooms were given away didn't disrupt the holiday. Hotels ranged from adequate in the mountains to luxury on the coast. An all round superb holiday that is to be recommended.

Naturetrek were excellent before and throughout the holiday and advised us as the situation changed regarding the closure of Lima airport literally as we made our way for departure back to the UK.

Delightful holiday with wonderful scenery guided by a wildlife expert.
We spent 4 days exploring Islay and Jura looking for wildlife. The scenery was lovely, weather was kind and we saw lots of species although the otters were a bit elusive.

Islay and Mull
Essentially a bird-watching week on the two islands. Our guide, Andy Burden was outstanding as was the Port Charlotte hotel on Islay - particularly the food.

Outstanding
From the moment we landed at our destination, we were looked after and expertly led for the whole of the holiday. It was primarily a bird tour and was the fulfilment of a long-standing ambition to visit South America and particularly the Andes and see a number of target birds. We had hopes of what the holiday would be like prior to going , but all those hopes were not only met, but exceeded by the trip.

They expertly organised everything and took all the pressure away from going to a strange country. The tour guide Andrea and the driver Jose were brilliant and took us safely to places to see the birds and wildlife that only local knowledge made possible. Andrea’s bird knowledge and the way she led the group was excellent as was Jose’s driving and taking care of everyone’s baggage.

Ecuador - Birds and Mammals of the mainland
My holiday was a Naturetrek tour to mainland Ecuador, covering regions in the Andes Mountains, cloudforest habitats and the Amazon Rainforest. The scenary was fantastic from snow-capped volcanos to mist-shrouded hill sides and forests. The Ecuadorian people were ...

The tour was put together and arranged by Naturetrek. The initial discussions I had with Andy Tucker, their expert on this region, convinced me to go on the trip and he was always very honest and open with his experience and knowledge. Naturetrek also arranged short extensions for me at the beginning and end of the trip. It worked out very well!
