A memorable holiday in Tanzania encompassing a visit to the Ngorongoro Crater and five days and nights in a camp in the southern Serengeti

Ranger Safaris in Tanzania, contracted by Naturetrek, were very good.

A two-location holiday in Portugal, encompassing the marshes and woodlands not far from Lisbon to the rolling countryside further to the east. A well-organised and good-humoured break that included much birdwatching, sightseeing, excellent chances to use telescopes and hear experts on the subject, lovely accommodation - and with some wine-tasting thrown in!

Naturetrek are experts at what they do. The holiday simply worked without any bother and I really appreciated the use of locally-run facilities and local people. I can't imagine any large tour operator having the imagination to include astronomy and ornithology in one holiday: operators like Naturetrek are absolute gems and should be encouraged.

Naturetrek has organised holidays for us for very many years and we have complete confidence in them.

Wildlife holiday to hopefully see lynx, wolves, bears and other mammals. Only thing I didn't get to see was wolves but that was not for want of trying by the tour leaders who were both excellent. We did also see beavers, otters, pine and stone martens plus numerous ural owls

Travelled with Naturetrek several times now and they are great. Good pre departure information and always great tour leaders who have so much knowledge about the area and wildlife expected to see. All accommodation has been good in my various trips and most meals included

Birding in such a beautiful area with two experts to help is a great experience and just the number of lifers and year-birds seen was brilliant.. Even my wife, a less keen birder, thoroughly enjoyed it. Good mix of habitats. Good accommodation for the area. Well organised itinerary,

Byron was an excellent birding guide with detailed local knowledge and found us so much. Andy also helped a great deal. Both took the time to show us clearly where to look and what to look for. Andy managed the breakdown on the motorway with great coolness and ensured the safety of the group. It was great that both were fluent Spanish speakers.

I went on a bird watching holiday to Colombia with Naturetrek. We were well looked after and had fabulous local guides who really knew their birds and habitats. All the lodges and hotels came up with interesting meals - not always the case for us vegetarians.

Naturetrek specialises in tours focusing on wildlife and birds. Terrain can be difficult so the trips are graded - so you know what's expected. They make a point of using local guides - for both their knowledge but also to ensure money goes into the local economy. Any issues are responded to personally and speedily.

An excellent weekend in the New Forest, great leader and company and superb bird sightings - can't wait until my next trip with them to Spain now!

From beginning to end this was the trip of a lifetime and I literally had the time of my life. Hitherto, I’d never been to South America, nor indeed the Southern Hemisphere, and so the sights, sounds, wildlife and history of Buenos Aires, Tierra del Fuego, Falkland Islands, South Georgia and Antarctica were breathtakingly wonderful. Amongst a wealth of wildlife, I saw eight types of penguin, six species of albatross, a plethora of cetaceans and seals, and all at close quarters in brilliant scenery and company. We also saw the beach on Elephant Island from where Sir Ernest Shackleton set off on his perilous journey to South Georgia to seek rescue for his crew.

Naturetrek are an impressive operator, providing excellent information and support before and during the holiday, and superb feedback afterwards. The tour guides were extremely friendly, helpful and attentive to the the needs, requests and enquiries of participants. Their knowledge and expertise was incredible, across a whole range of taxa, whilst their enthusiastic delivery was perfectly pitched to, and appreciated alike by, people with a wide range of wildlife experience, from enthusiastic newcomers to fellow experts.
