Excellent accommodation and tour leader and the weather was very mild for November leading to us seeing a record number of bird species in a variety of interesting locations.

I have taken a number of tours in UK and abroad with Naturetrek as well s a large number of their day trips. All have been well organised, well communicated and well led. Naturetrek is my 'go-to' for birding holidays.

Eight days in Basecamp Masai Mara with amazing wildlife viewings every day, from fireflies to elephants and pretty much everything in between. Comfortable accommodation in a camp with fixed luxury tents, good food and really friendly staff.

I would happily recommend both Naturetrek and their local agents Chameleon Tours to anyone.

The accommodation at our lodge was excellent, the staff were helpful and friendly and the food was plenty and excellent. Two safaris a day meant that we saw a huge amount of wildlife and our guide, Davies, was super helpful and knowledgeable.

Naturetrek provides a huge range of wildlife holidays all over the world. Their organisation is exceptional and staff are helpful and friendly.

This wildlife experience was amazing with sightings of many endemic species of mammals, birds, reptiles and insects. The diversity of interests and knowledge in the group was amazing and certainly added to the enjoyment of the trip. The guides were excellent and went out of their way to ensure we experienced all Madagascar had to offer.

Naturetrek were a delight to deal with, all enquiries were dealt with in a fast & comprehensive manner. We had issues with cancellations for various reasons but Naturetrek were extremely accommodating & I will certainly travel with them again.

Wonderful stays in two lodges and a flotilla in the Pantanal followed by a stay in the Atlantic rainforest.

Naturetrek. I have travelled with them many times abroad and in the UK. They are very thorough with information, their guides are excellent and I am never disappointed.

A wildlife focused trip to the Brazilian Pantanal with the aim to see Jaguars in their natural habitat, plus lots of other beautiful wildlife along the way. Ending with a trip to see the spectacular Iguazu Falls.

Naturetrek provide an fantastic itinerary, amazing guide and superb customer support. All in all providing a really easy experience of booking and communicating with the team. The only difficulty is picking which tour should be next!

A week spent in the Maasai Mara with photographer John Haskew taught us so much about how to photograph animals, and edit our photos - as well as some amazing viewings, including lions, leopards and cheetahs with cubs. . John was an excellent host and tutor, patient, encouraging and of course extremely knowledgeable about the wildlife in the area. It was such a treat to spend significant amounts of time with animals, watching their behaviour rather than the more usual safari experience of being constantly on the move, looking for something new/different.

Our first holiday with Naturetrek. A very efficient set-up and we felt well supported with information and advice before we travelled. On the trip almost everything went like clockwork, and any (very) minor issues were quickly resolved. In terms of cost I would say that we paid a bit more than we have done in the past, but the experience was worth every penny. We would certainly consider travelling with nature trek in the future

The holiday was well planned and organised. The accommodation and food was excellent. The small group of six worked very well for this type of holiday and we were very fortunate to have a very experienced local guide called Davies. His knowledge of the Mara ensured that our party saw all the large mammals, but, importantly, he stuck to the rules with regard to viewing them, so that they were not stressed on our account. Seeing lionesses with their young cubs at close quarters was like seeing a TV documentary live. We had a similar experience with a cheetah family, besides seeing all the herbivores. To add to that, there were an amazing number of birds, so the whole time on the Mara was magical.

Naturetrek use local operators, but they evidently take a lot of trouble to ensure that they are reliable organisations suitable for catering for British tourists. In the case of this holiday to the Maasai Mara, they chose Chameleon Tours, based in Nairobi and we were lucky to get Davies as our guide. I’m sure that I can speak for the rest of our group in that we were very pleased with Chameleon Tours.

Small group(8) of nature enthusiasts- couples and singles of varying ages - travelling to Cordovilla de Aguilar in rural northern Spain in order to have opportunities to see Iberian wolves in their natural environment. Excellent knowlegeable, caring leaders enabled us to travel into mountains at the correct time to see not only wolves but also bear, wildcats and variety of birds +enjoy the serenity of the scenery.. Comfortable accommodation and good homecooked food+wine.

Naturetrek -specialist for wildlife tours. I'm a single pensioner and they provided all necessary holiday information including flight tickets printed out +seats already allocated, which took away pre-travel stress as a lone traveller. They provided names of my fellow travellers which made a good start to group integration +we had a detailed which indicated how each day would be planned. Care before, during and after the holiday as we were given the opportunity to send in our opinions on any aspect of the holiday.

Starting in Livingstone, with a 2 night stay in a lodge on the Zambezi river. Then a 9 night trip through Botswana with 3 tented camps through the delta and finally a 3 night stay in a lodge at Moremi Crossing. There were only 6 in the group which was a perfect size for one landcruiser - we saw some very crowded with up to 12 people. Our guide and the tent team were brilliant. We had astonishing encounters with wilddogs, lions, leopards, hyenas, jackals, elephants, so many different antelopes and about 180 species of birds.

This was the 3rd trip I've booked with Naturetrek, previous ones were liveaboard cruises to Galapagos and Baja. I've been very impressed with the quality of service from the UK office and the guides, both local and Naturetrek. The itineraries are comprehensive and well planned and good value. I have already booked two more trips for 2025 and 2026 and would love to book more in the future, finances and health allowing. I have recommended them to other travellers we've met on the way and also to UK friends and colleagues.
