Pembrokeshire Coast Path by WalkingInWales, 18 Aug 2017

Wonderful walking holiday in Wales

We enjoyed a week of walking along the Pembrokeshire Coast Path. The Landscape was beautiful. There were lots of cliffs and great beaches. What we liked very much too, was the small amount of people that we met on the path.

Mickledore organized our holiday very good. They booked very nice accomodations for us which were located not far away from the coast path. The luggage transport worked perfektly. Mickledore sent us our holiday information in advance. It contained a guide book,a good detailed map of the area where we were walking and our personal information. Everything worked without any problems.

Mickledore Travel responded to this review on 18 Aug 2017:

We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed all of your accommodations and the walk itself. It is such a beautiful route and you are right that it is not at all busy.
I hope you will be back soon for your next trip.

Fabulous walking holiday

My friends and I walked the Hadrian's wall path, the whole 84 miles for 8 days from East to West in July. We all enjoyed the walk with lots to see on the way, when we reach the wall and were high up on the mountains we could not believe the views we encountered, it was absolutely amazing and so rewarding after climbing and scrambling over rocks. The route was clearly signposted and with the help of the "Trailblazer" we found our way around. We all enjoyed the walk with lots to see on the way, when we reach the wall and were high up on the mountains we could not believe the views we encountered, it was absolutely amazing and so rewarding after climbing and scrambling over rocks. We met so many nice people in the day some of them would stay in the same B&B which was really nice so we could exchange experiences and information. All in all the whole experience was very pleasant and I would definitely recommend the walking holiday to anybody.

Rating for tour operator:

The holiday was very well organised from start to finish the majority of the B&B's we stayed in were located conveniently along the trail so after a long days walking and feeling rather tired we had a comfortable room to go to. The information pack that I received well in time for our start date included everything from local taxi firms phone numbers to ATM locations , and how to get to the B&B as one or two would be a short distance of the path'. For two B&B locations Mickledore had an arrangement with the proprietor to pick us up from an allocated location and drop us of again the following day to continue our walk. It was very well arranged and I would without any hesitation book a walking holiday with Mickledore again.

Mickledore Travel responded to this review on 18 Aug 2017:

Thank you so much for your kind feedback. We put a lot of effort into sourcing the best accommodations as close as possible to the trail and providing everything that you need on your holiday so Im pleased that you enjoyed these and found your holiday pack useful.
I hope that you will allow us to book your next holiday very soon.

A novice to long-distance walking...

...I decided to try The Hadrian's Wall Path first as it is marked as one of the easier ones. I loved every minute of it, I think I have discovered a new passion.

Rating for tour operator:

Mickledore arranged everything for me friendly, professionally and on very short notice. I had all necessary information and materials, so even a rookie like me couldn't do wrong. They chose very reasonable and at times even brilliant accommodation. If I have one suggestion for improvement, it is the mobile app. A few hyperlinks and some interactive features would greatly improve it.

Mickledore Travel responded to this review on 18 Aug 2017:

Thank you for your feedback. Hadrians Wall is a great choice for your first walk and now we have plenty more for you to choose from!
The mobile app is new this season so we are very grateful for your feedback and will certainly take this into condsideration when we review it. Thank you for taking the time to let us know your thoughts.

Mickledore gave us the holiday we had dreamt of for years

An amazing experience - crossing England along the Hadrian's Wall path. From the nature reserves of Bowness on Solway, feeling on top of the world on the Crags and then slowly passing through fields of gold towards the river Tyne.

Rating for tour operator:

We wanted to walk Hadrian’s Wall and chose Micledore to arrange the holiday having had them recommended to us. We’ve been on trips like this before so we can compare levels of service and expertise. Right from the start Micledore proved to be exceptional because of their attention to detail. They were attentive to our requests and quick to find solutions. They provided all the information we needed to get from place to place and find our accomodation. As we live abroad we really appreciated the quality and variety of accomodation and eating places they arranged for us which gave us a taste of life in rural Britain. We hope to participate in further holdiays with Mickledore and recommend them without hesitation.

walking Hadrians wall in many weathers.

My sister and I are just back from a 4day walking holiday ,walking the most scenic part of Hadrians Wall. We started in Corbridge and ended up in Brampton. We had lovely Guesthouses to rest our weary bones each night. We started with a wonderful breakfast, and lunch to eat on the walk. The landscape was so varied, from lakes to distant mountains, altogether a great experience.
