We walked along Hadrian’s Wall this past summer. We chose to start in Carlisle and end in Corbridge rather than walk in the eastern marsh area and in Newcastle. The only thing they couldn’t arrange was the weather, which did not cooperate during this very rainy summer. We learned much about the Romans and enjoyed the beautiful countryside. The B & B’s were great. We had never done a “Walking Holiday” before.

We used Mickledore to plan the walking holiday. Mickledore did a GREAT job arranging B & B’s, giving us detailed maps and books, giving us lots of information about where we could find restaurants, food, cash, toilets, taxis, buses, emergency aid, etc. It made us feel very comfortable taking this adventure. We also appreciated the many choices for how far to walk and how many days we wanted.

Great walking holiday following the Northumberland Coast Path from Cresswell to Berwick Upon Tweed. It is a part of the country I am not familiar with but loved the wide open vistas, extensive beaches, castles and warm friendly people. We also had excellent local food.

Mickledore arranged everything. It all went well with an excellent range of accommodation.

Walked the coastal path around the Isle of Wight. Stayed in B&B's and hotels along the way, which had been organised by Mickledore. All of the places we stayed were brilliant and some even took our bags up to our rooms.

The information provided was very comprehensive, and we love the step by step guide. The staff are always helpful and knowledgeable.

Mickledore organized a perfect holiday, from the communication with the staff, the itinerary they cleverly suggested to the accomodation they selected. I had a ball, and I am recommending this path with Mickledore to everyone around me, while I am already preparing my next hike with Michledore.

This was my first walking tour and I was going solo. Mickeldore was so easy to work with and made me feel totally comfortable with my preparations. Once I arrived, everything was just as explained and as exected, giving me even more confidence for my journey. And then the walk - it was simply glorious. Each day was challenging but not over-taxing. The views were splendid. The accommodations neat, clean, friendly and perfect in every way. I can't wait to do another trip just like this!!!!

Dealing with Mickeldore was like working with a friend. As this experience was a totally new venture for me, it was important that my tour operator's communication was clear so I could feel confident that when I arrived, the trip was going to go as planned. They never made me feel silly for asking a gazillion questions and the materials were all helpful throughout. I will used them again, no doubt.

We had a wonderful walking holiday. Everything was very well planned and organised. The distances to cover each day were thought out - with demanding days followed by less demanding days. They had anticipated every need, including a couple of taxi runs when we stayed off the route. All info and backup materials excellent. Couldn't ask for more

I've always dreamt to walk the Hadrian's Wall Path, but it was very difficult to organise it since I live in Italy. Finally, this summer I did it with my wife thanks to Mickledore. The organization was perfect, the hosting places wonderful, the walk itself astonishing. We are completely satisfied.
