NC500

A wonderful trip, meticulously planned by McKinlay Kidd. All the accommodation was superb. They did everything for us, including organising a rental car and providing information on places either en route or staying. Couldn’t fault the service.

A great way to see Scotland

The 2 week trip was very well organized with everything going very smoothly. Lovely hotels. Any questions were always answered promptly and while away I wanted to change one of the rail trips, which they did without question.

What an unexpected stunning surprise Scotland was

We completed the NC500 and was our first time in Scotland. All our accommodation was booked for us we had 2 nights in 4 different hotels/B&Bs all of which were outstanding. The views, food, hosts went above and beyond our expectations.

They were so helpful with Everything. We felt they knew us personally as all their recommendations were so well suited to us. They were on hand if we had any queries or problems of which we did not.

Grand Tour of Wales by train

We traveled to the most beautiful areas of Wales by train, staying in fabulous inns and B&Bs. The people were wonderful. Our guides were fun and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend this trip.

Good program of the Highlands, a smaller group led my an excellent guide with good historical and general knowledge of Scotland.

The six nights and seven days were varied and full, everyone got on well in our group of ten, we had an excellent driver and guide with terrific local knowledge. The scenery was stunning and although the weather was very mixed we enjoyed all the experiences and accommodation.

Rating for tour operator:

Good communication from them and they have a variety of interesting tours available and their smaller group tours are more attractive than bigger ones.

Archaeology, Wildlife and Stunning Scenery - a trip to Scotland's northernmost Islands of Orkney and Shetland

What an amazing holiday, our interests in archaeology were more than satisfied when we travelled to Orkney and Shetland and back through history to 5000 years ago at Skara Brae, the Ness of Brodgar, forward in time to the bronze age settlements, then the Viking/Norse settlements on Shetland, early crofts and remote 16th Century castles. Hosted by knowledgeable and friendly guides and excellent quality accommodation, good food, wine and of course the whiskey... what more could we ask for!

Rating for tour operator:

McKinlay Kidd could not have been more helpful. All was efficiently organised and the suggested itinerary covered all that we wished to cover during this vacation and more, in addition we had personal recommendations for each of the locations where we were accommodated, introduced to some exceptional guides, and given free time to undertake our own explorations. At first glance of the itinerary the holiday looked a bit daunting, but not at all in the execution. Planning was just right and plenty of time to relax between excursions in very comfortable surroundings. Well done McKinlay Kidd.

Excellent Grand Tour of Scotland by Train

Wonderful B&B's, attentive hosts, excellent tours and prompt drivers to meet us at the train station. We enjoyed the scenery from the train, and our stays at the scenic villages. We also appreciated the written itinerary and helpful suggestions. McKinley Kidd was always prompt when we contacted them.

We Saw More of Scotland Than Some Scots Have Seen!

It was the dream holiday of a lifetime. We saw flora and fauna, met interesting people, stayed in different but equally wonderful places, and LEARNED so much about the history and land. We took away a strong sense of pride many had in their country broadly and their region specifically.

Trip around the SW coast of Ireland, 'The Wild Atlantfic Way'

The holiday was a car trip around the coast of Iteland from Cork to Dingle, taking in the Ring of Kerry and Ring of Beara. The holiday allowed us to travel to the furthest westerly points of all the peninsulas in the south West.

Rating for tour operator:

The operator booked out ferry from Wales and all hotels, either 1-night or 2-night stays. We were supplied with a detailed itinerary and plenty.of notes about the various counties along the way. All hotels were a good standard, and the Irish people supplied warm welcomes throughout.
