An amazing stay at the Icehotel

What a memorable few days. Sweden and the ice hotel are absolutely gorgeous and we had a brilliant time. DTW were excellent in helping us plan our itinerary and recommend excursions we would enjoy. We went for the Wildlife photography, evening snowmobile/northern lights tour and husky sledding and I highly recommend it all. We went for the Wildlife photography, evening snowmobile/northern lights tour and husky sledding and I highly recommend it all. It was brilliant having the direct flight to Kiruna too as for a short break (3 nights) it would have been a paint to have to transfer etc. As it was the organisation and the experience were magical and I highly recommend it!

Rating for tour operator:

DTW were brilliant from the moment I phoned them. They really knew the area, the hotel and all the excursions meaning we really did enjoy our time there. I loved the booklet and communication from them too - made the whole experience feel really special. I think they are the only ones that fly direct to Kiruna too which is well worth it!

Amazing holiday we will never forget!

Discover the World we’re amazing from start to finish. We booked a New Year break to Sweden staying at Brandon Lodge. All the activities were prebooked and were so well organised. My family which includes my husband and 2 boys (aged 9 & 11) will never forget it. We hope to return there for another holiday in the future and can’t recommend it enough. Dog sleds 🛷, Northern Lights, snowmobiles on the frozen sea and amazing food. Thanks Discover ...

Well organised and good communication

We planned a trip to Iceland ourselves and asked Discover the World to help us. We stayed for a week and drove around seeing the sites. We spent a lot of times on quieter non touristy roads which was perfect for us.

Discover the world booked our car hire and the choice was well worth it. They made sure we had snow chains for the ice. They also had an IPad with suggestions of places to see. They also helped us to book an excellent hotel. Really good service and can be used to book a whole or part of a trip.

The best short break we've ever had as a family.

We had a 3 day trip to The Nellim Wilderness Lodge in Finland. Incredible! We wanted activity, culture, family adventure and perfect vista - we had all of that and more. We had the all inclusive package which covered food, activities and equipment.

We were very fortunate to have booked our adventure with Discover The World. If you ever want to experience what excellent feels like - look no further. From the personal, warm and professional service to the amount of email support provided, this operator is exceptional. It felt like a 5 star service from beginning to end. We dealt with Amy as our main contact - a true ambassador for Finland and Discover the World. I cannot recommend this operator strongly enough.

Take the leap beyond Reykjavik - you won't be disappointed!

We've not long come back from Iceland on the Orcas and Aurora trip and I have to say it was an fabulous experience. Having only visited Reykjavik before, I was beyond excited to take the leap and head three hours out of Reykjavik for the chance to see killer whales AND the northern lights in one go! Sadly due to the rain and wind, we didn't see any whales - however we did see the lights every night thanks to our guide Cathy, who kindly kept popping out into the snow, before calling us all out for the (sometimes small, sometimes huge) displays.

The booking process was really smooth and Cathy was fantastic, she seemed to know everything about anything!

A five night family trip to Iceland with Discover the World!

Iceland was absolutely superb. What a stunning place to visit. We did a few excursions including whale watching, the Golden Circle sights, waterfalls, lava tunnels etc but the star of the trip was definitely the day long excursion up Eyjafjallajokull and through the Thorsmork valley. It was the excursion that just kept on giving!

Discover The World were utterly professional and amazingly knowledgeable about Iceland. This is the differentiator between using experts such as them and arranging the holiday yourself. We saw things that we would never have seen had they not been either recommended by our agent or discovered through the iPad that you're given with your hire car. Leaning on their expertise is a no brainer as the holiday cost us no more through them that it would have been had we assembled all the components ourselves (but infinitely more stressful doing it that way too!). A win win all round!

Experience of a lifetime

We had a phenomenal few days at the IceHOTEL in Sweden. An amazing place which completely lived up to (and surpassed) our expectations.

We briefly detailed our itinerary and Discover the World were able to put together an agreed package on the dates specified. Accommodation provided was excellent and given the various destinations and travel arrangement it really worked well. Highlights included a stay at the Ice Hotel near KIruna. Travel by rail to Abisko to see Northern Lights which we were luckily enough to observe and also included a four day cruise of the Norwegian Fjords. We also enjoyed stays in Bergen and Oslo.

Rating for tour operator:

Clear documentation pack containing all vouchers with a detailed day by day itinerary. We conducted all correspondence on the proposed arrangements by email to ensure clarification of what we considered to be must see or do's. Given the input of Discover the World and the successful of our trip we are considering them to organise our next trip...Antartica!
