Myself, my husband and our two sons (19 and 16) spent a week at the Anantara The Palm resort. We're very conscious of these precious travel opportunities now that the 'kids' are older and having not been away for two years, like the rest of the world, we really wanted a spectactular experience—and that's exactly what we got. The hotel was stunning. We went for a swim-up pool which was an oasis of calm and tranquility. We enjoyed being tucked away on the palm, but only 20 or so minutes from everything we wanted to see and do. We went for the half-board option and the food didn't disappoint. Breakfast was eye-popping and there were several different restaurant options for lunch or dinner. We enjoyed lazy days in the pool interspersed with jet-skiing, quad biking in the desert (complete with traditional meal and an evening of entertainment), and the water park. The end-of-February weather was absolutely perfect for us too. All-in-all it was a fabulous week away.

We booked through Bushbaby Travel and the booking process was faultless, with excellent options, guidance and communication. For example, Abi suggested we might want to consider the 'meet and great' service which was so appreciated having arrived pretty tired and disoriented. It exceeded all expectations as we were whizzed through passport control and baggage collection and safely handed over to our driver. As someone who usually researches, plans and books our family holidays I so appreciated having all this done for me. Every query I had (particularly around 'fit to fly' requirements) was answered quickly and reassuringly. I'm absolutely certain we'll be booking with Bushbaby again. I've decided it's definitely the way forward. Thank you Abi and team.

5 days in a good hotel in Tenerife. Very good standards of accommodation. A couple of day trips out to see some local sights. The rest of the time relaxing in the warm and pleasant surroundings of the hotel.

They put together the trip after a very last minute request from us. They had good ideas. They were helpful with additional information we needed. Great service.

First visit to Maldives, staying at Constance Halaveli for two weeks.

Small but beautifully formed! Excellent efficient, prompt, responsive and friendly service. Good advice on Maldives very helpful for our first visit.

Stayed at the Al Bustan Palace hotel outside Muscat, a repeat visit. Expensive but a nice break.

Dealt with Emily Whiteley and Abi Shaw at Bushbaby. I found them consistently responsive, polite, helpful and well-informed.

It lived up to expectation - we were very lucky to have reasonably warm weather up at the Anantara which I gather is very unusual for January. The view from our room (Canyon premier) was disappointing and did not reflect that promised by the hotel jargon. The room itself was very nice and comfortable. Drinks were off the scale expensive and we felt that would put us off visiting that hotel again, although we would love to see it in Spring. I would not recommend anyone go there before February as if cold it is not really worth the trip. You want to be able to enjoy the pool properly. The Chedi Muscat was absolutely lovely and we really enjoyed it. The rooms do let the hotel down a bit - our friends had a balcony that gave them a nice view. Their room itself (Serai) was I felt a little disappointing. Our room (deluxe) was very nice but you couldn't open the window at all. The air conditioning was extremely fierce; we asked the hotel to help with that which they did; nothing was too much trouble. The weather again was disappointing - not the fault of anyone but again I think January in the Oman is a bit risky. We enjoyed the tennis court, food (extremely good), lovely pools and spa. Old Muscat was well worth a visit and we had a wonderful evening at the Opera House. I would love to visit the Chedi again as long as I had some outside space, prices permitting. It really is gorgeous with its wonderful landscaping among the palm trees. I think February or March would be safer weather wise.

Unbelievable service - so helpful and managed to sort our trip out with extremely short notice which was hugely appreciated. Everything beautifully organised and nothing forgotten. Absolutely five stars.

We spent 3 days in the mountains at the Anantara Al Akhdar hotel which was a wonderful location. Fabulous destination hotel with great views of the canyon. The hotel offered superb service and attentive staff. We then went to Muscat and had five days at the Chedi hotel- this was a great hotel with 3 great outdoor pools including the long pool. Food was excellent and staff were brilliant.

Bushbaby were quite outstanding in terms of advice for Oman, pulling together an itinerary that met our needs and ensuring everything went smoothly. Abi and Emily were responsive at all times and made every effort to support us especially with Covid restrictions. Of all tour operators we have used, Bushbaby has been the best and would recommend them to anyone looking for a long haul holiday. This was the second time that at we had tried to get to Oman. This first was just before the pandemic and it was cancelled. Fortunately we had booked the original holiday through Bushbaby and we were refunded in full. Chances are that if we had booked directly with hotels in Oman, we would not have have been covered for Covid cancellation and would have lost all our money.

Stressful sorting out paperwork and Covid tests and worrying about catching covid whilst away, but enjoyed a relaxing holiday, albeit weather wasn't perfect

They were very hands on and provided so much information and links with what we should be doing, could not fault them at all, excellent work

We had the most amazing time at Lux South Ari Atoll in the Maldives. 2 weeks of pure bliss. The resort is so family friendly and the staff went that extra mile to remember your name and your likes/dislikes. Everyone had a smile on their face and greeted us all day long. This was the cherry on top of the beautiful aquamarine waters, blue skies and golden sand beaches.

Bushbaby were so imformative and quick to respond to our every query. And providing us travel updates and visa/testing requirements as soon as they were aware of any changes. It really put our mind at rest and made us feel comfortable with booking the holiday.

We stayed at six different places on Sri Lanka and all very different from each other. Our hotels were top notch - the food was incredible and the people we met were truly delightful. Our driver Chandi was wonderful and a mine of information and it wouldn’t have been the same without him.

We have been travelling long haul with Bushbaby Travel for 15 years now and this was our 11th trip with them. They are true masters in the travel field - so much so that we wouldn’t think of booking these sorts of holidays with anyone else. We are blessed with total confidence with whatever they arrange for us. We have never had a bad experience anywhere with them at the helm.
