we had a tailor made holiday for us over five days, james at great escapes helped us with everything we need to get done in a short time and we had a good time.
Many thanks for your review and glad to hear you enjoyed your time in the Highlands and the Isle of Skye. Andy Gabe

Stunning Arran Coastal Walk
Wonderful weather made Arran even more beautiful. Lively towns, remote coastline, stunning views from Goat Fell. I saw the big 5 (Golden Eagle, Red Deer, Red Squirrel, Grey Seal, Otter) and even Dolphins and Common Seals and many, many birds. The path is well maintained, the different kinds of overnight stays were friendly.

Absolute Escapes do a great job. The website is well presented. Soon after I send my request, I can't wait for the proposal which comes very quickly. And from then on it's just smooth cruising. I'll be back soon.
Many thanks for your review and comments. It sounds like you saw the Isle of Arran and its wildlife at its best. We were pleased to hear that you found the path well maintained - it has had some additional funding quite recently, and I know they've been working hard to improve some sections. We really appreciate your comments about the service we provide and we hope to be able to assist you with another walking holiday in the future. Andy Gabe

Absolute Escapes Scotland Self Drive Honeymoon
My wife and I, through Absolute Escapes, organised a self drive tour of Scotland. Taking in the highlands, isle of Skye, Glencoe and Edinburgh areas. We stayed in B&Bs and Guest Houses throughout our stay and enjoyed every last second! The hospitality we experienced in Scotland was unbelievable, all of our hosts were extremely friendly and accommodating. We cant wait to go back!

Absolute Escapes was fantastic. They helped us tailor our experience - providing great Distillery visit suggestions for me, while organising great sightseeing opportunities on the Isle of Skye for my wife - it was the perfect mix for a honeymoon ;) It was a self drive tour that had the car and all accommodation sorted before we landed in Edinburgh from Australia. We had no trouble at any stage of the trip, which was a great stress relief, especially when you know you are flying from Australia and have to travel a couple hours in the car after you land!
Thank you very much for your review - we were delighted to hear from you and that you had such a great time on your Honeymoon. You certainly visited some of the highlights of Scotland and we're just happy we were able to assist with such a special trip for you both. Our very best wishes for your future together! Absolute Escapes review
We let Absolute Escapes do their work for us for the 7th time in a row. That said pretty much about the quality of our every year experience with them.

Many thanks for your review and we're delighted you had a great time on the Northumberland Coast Path. We really appreciate your return custom and hopefully we can assist with the next 7 walking holidays! Andy Gabe

Finding the Way
We had a wonderful time walking St Cuthbert's Way. The weather was kind except for one very windy day to remind us of the power of the elements. All the arrangements with accommodation and baggage transfer were excellent, and that included spending a night with some friends near Jedburgh. Every day's experience was different; the 62 miles of the walk encompassed such a rich variety of terrain and scenery. And the wild flowers were magnificent...

The final stretch of walking to Lindisfarne barefoot on the Pilgrims' Way was an unforgettable and deeply moving experience.

Thank you for submitting your review following your St Cuthbert's Way walk. It sounds like you had a wonderful experience and we're very impressed you walked the final stretch on the Pilgrims' path barefoot. Thank you once again for choosing to book with us. Andy Gabe

Accommodation and travel arrangements all transpired smoothly
A group of 8 people walked the Hadrian's Wall Path with the B&Bs and luggage shuttle organized by Absolute Escapes. We were supplied with good maps and information for our journey.

Absolute Escapes did a marvelous job organizing the tour for a rather large group of 8. we did not see any walkers in this large a group during the entire trek. Absolute also arranged extra nights where requested which really rounded out the trip nicely.
Thank you for your review and delighted to hear that you enjoyed Hadrian's Wall Path. Andy Gabe

West Highland Way
Absolute Escapes provided all information needed for the walk, arranged for accommodation and luggage transfer. The accomodation was all wonderful, the luggage transportation went off without a hitch. Coming back after a long day of walking to friendly and comfortable (and clean!) accommodation was a real treat.

I didn't have a tour operator per se, this was a self-guided walk. Absolute Escapes provided maps, a guide book, and arranged for accommodation and luggage transfer along the route. The descriptions were very helpful to find the places, and they were very responsive with any questions I had. It was very well organized and it was great to enjoy such a beautiful walk without any issues or problems. (Other than a bit of weather, but that's par for the course!) I would recommend these guys to anyone planning a trip like this. I was very pleased.
Thank you for taking the time to post a review after your West Highland Way adventure. We were delighted to hear that you enjoyed the walk and that all the arrangements were to your satisfaction. If we can ever tempt you into another walking holiday then please don't hesitate to contact us again. Andy Gabe

West Highland Way and Isle of Skye tour of Scotland May-June 2015
Hotel/B&B, rental car, and other arrangements were great. It rained a lot though, particularly in the latter half of our trip, which put a bit of a damper on our vacation. So - the overall "Good" rating is really a reflection of the weather, as otherwise the trip would have been excellent.

Absolute Escapes did an excellent job in setting up our tour and making arrangements. They were easy to work with in the development of the proposal, and everything they arranged came off without any problem.
Thank you for posting your review, although I was sorry to hear that the weather wasn't too good for some of your holiday. I hope you were still able to experience the wonderful scenery of the Highlands and Isle of Skye - its sometimes just as spectacular in the rain! Thank you once again for your booking and glad to hear the arrangements were to your satisfaction. Andy Gabe

Glorious walking in Scotland
We are two elderly danes (71+73) who decided for a holiday in Scotland - For my wife the forst visit--although there are lots of -even danish- travel agencies arranging mostly bus round tours, we found the traditional round tour pr bus not specially attractive: The possibility of combining visit in Glasgow as in Edinburgh with walking The Great Glenn way--could combine: city holiday with nature--and we were not disapointed--all was were well ...

I never like that kind af questions: Other tour operators are surely very good too-but I only know Absolute Escapes -which in all ways was very fine: We was surely a little annoying, as the tour was scheduled for last autum, but we had to cancel (3 days before) as I fell during running and for a long time was unable to walk etc- Therefore we kind of started again with the planning---I must say, that all the way in the "planning stadium" we knew what we got -and was orientated in all manners- You may wonder, why we not found a danish tour operator ---funny enough we never thought about that possibility-- but we surely will select a "native" operator when we return As a biproduct I had a great possibility to brush my english up-- Not enough, you are free to think !!!
Thank you for taking the time to write your review and for your comments. We were really pleased that you were able to re-book your trip and glad your wife enjoyed her first trip to Scotland. Andy Gabe
