Great hikeing on the Great Glen Way
Dear Dawn We had a wonderful hike on the highlands and every one of your accommodations was great. What a good country Scotland is and the Scottish people are so friendly and helpful. the weather was also scottish :-) 9 days in the rain, the 8 very much rain and unfortunately some fog. therefore we only reached 500 meters up Ben Nevis before we had to turn around. But regardless of this, it was a great Hike.

Absolute Escapes was a good choice. I feel save and in professional hands from my first contact I will give Absolute Escapes my Best recommendations.
We are very delighted to hear that you really enjoyed the Great Glen Way! Sorry to hear you didn't see the best of our Scottish weather, but it's so refreshing to hear that it didn't detract from your trip and you were able to enjoy your walk.
Please do get in touch again if we can be of assistance with any future walking holidays. Best wishes, Dawn Spence

The West Highland Way experience
Having come back home yesterday, I want to thank all the team at Absolute Escapes for having superbly organised our trip on the West Highland Way. The day trip to Oban and Iona was very successful. As a bonus it was sunny all the time! I much appreciated you organising the leaving of our luggage at the hotel in Tyndrum and booking a B&B in Oban. Many thanks once again. Best regards John and Sophie Roberts

We were able to mutually arrange an itinerary with Absolute Escapes who were very attentive to our requests. As we wanted a couple of days off not walking, Absolute Escapes were able to incorporate our requirements into the itinerary and reserve the necessary overnight stops. The information contained in the daily sheet was most informative. As phone numbers were given, we were able to reserve our table for the evening at one of the recommended restaurants. This was most important as every restaurnt was very busy.
Thank you for your wonderful review, John. We are so happy to hear that you had a great time on the West Highland Way and enjoyed your trip to Oban. If we can be of any assistance in the future, please don't hesitate to contact us and we hope that we can welcome you back to Scotland soon. Best wishes, Fern Urquhart

South West Coast Path Westward Ho to Padstow
Every day was an adventure. Even when we were lost in fog we were laughing. We walked 6 of the days. We took off a day to explore Boscastle and Tintagel. We took off another day for a boat nature tour. On that day we saw a Puffin swimming near the boat. My daughter , age 39 and myself, age 69, walked together. We thought the walking was challenging but always enjoyable.

A fabulous coast to coast walk across Scotland
We had a fantastic time walking the Southern Upland Way. The scenery was stunning, the weather was mostly kind to us and it felt as though we had the whole of the Southern Uplands to ourselves, in fact in 14 days we only met four other people doing the same walk. The views just seemed to get better every day and I would definitely recommend this walk to anyone who loves the hills but hates crowds.

The organisation was faultless from our first contact with Absolute Escapes to the walk itself. They were able to accommodate our preference for staying in pubs and hotels rather than B & Bs and every transfer, both of our bags and ourselves, worked perfectly. We were also impressed with our information pack which included all the OS maps we needed for the route as well as the guide book and detailed itinerary. Absolute Escapes would definitely be our first choice for another trip.
Thank you very much for your wonderful review, Kate. We're so pleased to hear that you had such a great time on the Southern Upland Way. Please do not hesitate to get in touch should we be able to assist you with another holiday in future. Best wishes, Fern Urquhart

Wonderful holiday walking the Cleveland Way
I recently walked the Cleveland Way and thoroughly enjoyed the varied landscapes, the history and the people I met along the way. I completed it as a solo walker and found the trail to be well marked, but still had map and compass (just in case, but didn't need to use them). I also spent 4 nights in Whitby as there were several places I wanted to see in the area. Whitby was lovely. Absolute Escapes booked by accommodation in Whitby and it ...

My communication with Absolute Escapes was via email as I am in Australia. I found them to be responsive to any questions; the information kit was thorough and contained all the information I required; there was never a problem with bag transfer or my accommodation; whilst the B&B's varied in character, they were all excellent and their differences added to the charm. Everything went incredibly smoothly, so i didn't need to contact them during the walk. At the end they emailed me to request some feedback, which i thought was good. From my point of view everything went really well and I found them to be friendly and efficient and I would certainly book my holiday through Absolute Escapes again.
Thank you so much for taking the time to give us your lovely feedback Fenella. We're really happy to hear that you had a great time on the Cleveland Way and that you enjoyed your time exploring Whitby. Please do get in touch again if we can be of assistance with any future walking holidays. Best wishes, Caitlin Rush

Challenging experience
I was walking the whole pembrokeshire coast path in the south north direction. My girlfriend and I stayed 15 days with an average distance of 20km per day. We are both between 25 and 35 years old and in good shape but even for us it was challenging but you get used to it. The whole trip was planned by absolute escapes and everything worked out perfectly. Luckily the weather was on our side and we had a really good time and enjoyed every step...

Absolute escapes, always reachable and they organized an not planned laguage transfer for the second half of our trip within short time. Thumbs up.
Thank you very much for your kind words Heiko. We were so delighted to hear that you enjoyed your walk on the Pembrokeshire Coast Path and thrilled to receive your photos from the trip too. We hope we can welcome you back to the UK for another walk soon! Best wishes, mit freundlichen grüßen, Pippa Robson

Great Outdoor Adventure
We undertook a walking holiday in Scotland along The Great Glen Way this included several bed and breakfasts of which all were of very good quality. The views were beautiful and walks were well signposted.

Absolutely Marvelous!
We had a marvelous time in Scotland! Our journeys on the Strathspey and Jacobite trains were delightful. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring every place we visited walking, on average, 8 miles a day. Hosts at each B & B were very gracious and hospitable. I particularly enjoyed talking with our hosts in Inverness. They are amateur genealogists, as am I. Hosts at each B & B were very gracious and hospitable. I particularly enjoyed talking with our hosts in Inverness. They are amateur genealogists, as am I. It so happens that we have common ancestors in our family trees! We love Scottish traditional music, and could usually find a session somewhere in town. It was a bit tricky figuring out the train passes, but the scheduling app was extremely helpful (more so than the hard copy train schedules). We also found it very helpful to stop by the TIs in each town to learn more about what was available and get additional information about the town.

We chose Absolute Escapes because we wanted a self-directed experience, but knew nothing about travel in Scotland. Jason worked with us to create our train journey within the dates specified. He was very responsive to our questions, despite the time differences between Texas and Scotland. A trip itinerary that would have taken us months to plan was developed within a couple of weeks, complete with detailed information about the towns, places to eat, and sites to visit. All B & B's were within walking distance from the train/bus stations. Absolute Escapes provided the framework; we built upon that framework to have an absolutely marvelous experience.
Thank you for your feedback, I'm delighted to hear you had such a memorable time! It's also excellent to hear you were pleased with our services and the benefits of working with us. If we can be of assistance in the future please don't hesitate to contact us. Best wishes, Jason Martin

Excellent Scottish Adventure
I would like to thank Absolute Escapes for making all the arrangements for our trip to the Shetland and Orkney Islands. Everything went perfectly, from the car rental, ferry rides and all of the accommodations. There was nothing that was left out, we never had any issue with any of the bookings made for us and never worried about any aspect of the trip.

We primarily dealt with Charlotte at Absolute Escapes. Once we explained what we had wanted to do, she was able to work closely with us to plan everything the way we wanted. We found Charlotte to be flexible with some last minute requests.
Thank you very much for your kind review Ken. It was an absolute pleasure to work with you to create your holiday and I am very pleased to hear you had such a good time. Please do not hesitate to get in touch if we can of assistance with any future travel plans. Best wishes, Charlotte Wood

a surpassingly beautiful walking experience
We are well, happy, and refreshed after the week Pippa planned for us, walking the SWCP from Perranporth to Penzance in Cornwall. Enhancing the experience, we had nearly perfect weather, sunny with a cool breeze off the water, and virtually no rain. Enhancing the experience, we had nearly perfect weather, sunny with a cool breeze off the water, and virtually no rain. While the rugged Cornwall coast and its long views lived up to their billing, as did the chance to go back into history at the many tin and copper mines, for me it was the delights of the English spring which flash in the mind and resonate deep within me. Hedgerows bursting with May color, some spectacular bluebell woods after we turned the corner to the southern part of the coastal path past Land's End and there were more trees than on the more rugged northern coast, and copious amounts of gorse, buttercups, and daffodils as yellow as can be. We thought we saw choughs as well, big, back birds with a curved orange bill. We were not able to complete all sections of the walk on foot, but that did not detract from the beauty of the walk. All restaurant recommendations were excellent, esp. The Tinners Arms in Zennor and The Logan Rock Inn in Porthcurno. The B&Bs were generally good, especially the Zennor Chapel Guesthouse, and we enjoyed staying at St Just's Commercial Hotel and walking back to the coastal path at Cape Cornwall via the beautiful Kendijack valley. My favorite part of the Cornwall coast was from St Ives to Zennor and from Porthcurno to Penzance...rugged, remote, and, it seemed, we were the only ones there, if that applies to anywhere in Cornwall! Along other sections we met proud Cornishmen and Cornish women walking their dogs for miles at a time, up hill and down, through picturesque coves, over and through towering sand dunes, fording tiny streams just reaching the sea, through little villages like St Agnes, or on white sand beaches or tidal estuaries. The walk was so varied day to day, hour to hour, that each part left indelible memories which can last a life.

We are well, happy, and refreshed after the week Pippa at Absolute Escapes planned for us in Cornwall, walking the SWCP from Perranporth to Penzance. From the v beginning, it has been so easy and pleasant talking and e-mailing with her and the team in setting up a walk which met all our logistical expectations as to maps, materials, B&Bs, and movement of our backpacks, all of which facilitated a fun, exciting, and in many parts a beautiful walking experience, one specifically tailored to us and which we will remember fondly for years to come. I had the feeling that not only were Pippa and her team amazingly thorough in accommodating our wishes and preparing us for our trip, but that they were actually rooting for us all the way. Rare indeed.
Thank you very much for your lovely feedback John. We were so delighted that you chose to complete yet another walking trip with us and that you so enjoyed your experience. Your beautiful description truly highlights the very best parts of the South West Coast and all it has to offer. We hope that we can welcome you back to the British Isles soon. All the very best, Pippa Robson
