Mickledore Walking Coast to Coast. We planned to walk the first half and finish the second later this year or early next. Mickledore provided all the maps needed. There was full information on all the places we stayed and additional information on eateries. Additionally there was included a taxi company list in case of need. All the b&bs and small hotels we used were welcoming, with lovely en-suite facilites and very comfortable beds. The breakfasts were very tssty and offered at good times for a days walking.

Mickledore are a joy to book with. All staff were polite and communicated well with us. The are timely with all the information. As said above; There was full information on all the places we stayed and additional information on eateries. Additionally there was included a taxi company list in case of need. My husband and I have walked the C2C in May. We had a perfectly organized coast-to-coast holiday. We have greatly enjoyed the walk, as well as the variety of places where we stayed during the walks. We started in St Bees and had a rest day after 10 days of walking in Richmond at the Old Brewery. After the rest day we had another 6 days of walking. Mickledore had arranged a taxi on the last day to pick us up at Robin Hoods Bay, and took us back to Richmond were Mickledore had arranged a parking place for our car during the holiday. Admittedly, the walk was very challenging at some parts of the Lake District, because, The Netherlands doesn’t really do hills let alone fells, which makes practicing for us quite difficult. But once we were on the top, the view was spectacular (when it wasn't foggy) Overall we had a well organized holiday!

My husband and I have walked the C2C in May. Mickledore arranged all our accommodation, packed lunches on the walking days, and some of the dinner reservations (if there was only one restaurant in the village). They also arranged for our luggage to be transferred each day. They helped us with the transport to St Bees (from Richmond) and at the last day from Robin Hoods Bay back to the car at Richmond. After booking and planning where to stay on our rest day. Mickledore send a package filled with papers: Luggage tags, discount coupon for some shops, directions to our accommodation, diversions on the route, places to eat every evening, who to call, etc. And two waterproof maps and a book of the route. The only thing you had to do each day was getting your backpack and walk. We’ve now done not only C2C, but also Speyside, Great Glenn Way and Hadrian’s Wall, via Mickledore. And it was always perfectly arranged!

Walking 5 days of C2C starting in S Bees.

Mickledore provided the support for our 5 days of C2C. They exceeded our expectations. The pack of information that arrived prior to our departure was faultless; maps, details of how to find our B&B each night, taxi numbers etc. They replied promptly to our queries and we would have no hesitation in using them again for the next leg.

We hiked 8 days from St. Bees to Kirkby Stephens staying in B & Bs along the way.

MIckledore arranged the places where we stayed, provided books and guidelines for the hike itself and picked up our bags each morning and transferred them to the next B & B.

We did the first half (nearly) of the coast to coast walk, three of us set out knowing that the first few days were very demanding yet by day 2 the desire to get to the end of the days walk was enhanced by the interest in seeing what tonight's B and B was like. They were varied, interesting and of a good standard. It was great to see the luggage get there effortlessly when we had got there with considerable effort! Map and guidebooks did the job, and left just enough for us to do to give a sense of achievement in our map reading skills. We were able to enjoy this outstanding walking country knowing all the details were being managed for us.

Mickledore. This company is clearly well respected by the B and B owners, and since they deal with these people regularly that indicates that the customer service we received was not a one off but shows consistent professionalism and enthusiasm for their business.

It was my first time traveling with Mickledore Walking Holidays, and I must admit I was a little anxious when booking. Not because of anything relating to the organization, but rather about traveling alone. I love walking and am comfortable in my own company, but was I going to be lonely? lost? perhaps lost in translation?. The truth is, traveling alone has been an eye-opener for me and I found that you're never really alone when you travel alone. All the friendly people I've met on the way, from the local people to fellow travelers, have truly made the experience for me. That, combined with the excellent organization of the trip by Mickledore ensured I never felt lost. Logistics were taken care of beyond expectation, so I was free to enjoy the experience. I will definately be back for more!

This was a walking holiday on the coast to coast route from St Bees to Robin Hood's Bay. This involved staying in a different hotel or B&B every night and transporting my suitcase from place to place as well. The walk was a fantastic experience and I loved every minute. In retrospect, I would make some minor changes, but I am already considering doing it again.

I used Mickledore Travel to book a 17 day walking holiday. They booked my overnight stops, organised my suitcase to magically appear at the right place every night and arranged for packed lunches to be provided. Everything worked perfectly, there were no hitches at all. The value of using Mickledore was illustrated when one hotel unexpectedly closed down, after accepting my booking. Mickledore acted quickly to find an alternative, making this a non-issue for me.

Thanks to Mickledore travel for such a great holiday. We had a fantastic time ,the BnBs were all great,luggage transfers went without a hitch,and the service information,maps and book for the Coast to Coast route proved invaluable. Would highly recommend to others as it was to us.

Recently completed wainrights coast to coast walk. Fantastic 14 day walking holiday which I booked through Mickledore travel. Varied stunning scenery through the 3 different national parks in the north of England. Met some lovely people along the way with a good sense of camaraderie. great food and B & Bs completed the great holiday experience.

Booked my coast to coast walk through Mickledore travel. It was important to me that I had characterful accommodation of a high standard on the route and Mickledore didn't disappoint. The logistics worked seemlessly and the pack of walk information was easy to follow and helpful. Definately will be using them again and would recommend to anyone. Price was competitive too.
