Our recent self-guided trip on England's Coast to Coast was enhanced largely due to the excellent service from Mickledore. From the initial communication, easy-to-navigate website, excellent itinerary offering, and the final package of accommodations and transport service, I highly recommend the services of Mickledore.

Our walk was self guided, so no tour operator was necessary.

Walking holiday over 5 days planned from St Bees to Patterdale. Mickledore Travel organised accommodation and support such as moving bags. It was my first experience of a UK long distance walk and it was a fabulous one. We were lucky to have only one rainy day and even then enjoyed the walk as the scenery is so incredible. Staying in hotels along the way allowed rest and recuperation for the next day ahead.

At short notice they were able to books accommodation for a popular walk. This did involve using a hotel they had little experience of so they checked with us before booking. They also arranged for the bag collections and movements, even with a last minute final day change and were flexible and helpful. We gave them feedback abut the hotels used and what extra information we would have found helpful and they were appreciative and listened so clearly work to improve the customer experience.

We enjoyed the Coast to Coast walk. The holiday was tailored to our needs by Mickledore very efficiently and effectively. Great places to stay and great organisation.

Mickledore were efficient, very organised, with a great attention to detail. The transfer arrangements worked a treat and the accommodation was of an excellent standard. With this in mind we were confident to relax and enjoy our holiday!

The booking process was straightforward. We were given clear information about each day of the holiday including name, location and contact details for our accommodation, information about packed lunches and options for evening meals. We had one query on the holiday and after phoning Mickledore it was sorted out straightaway. We were very happy with all the accomodation provided.

Everything was organised perfectly.

Needed to challenge ourselves by doing the first half of the coast to coast path. Got all the advice and materials we needed and whilst the quality of overnights varied we were generally very pleased.

We had a lovely trip. The accommodation we had was on the whole excellent with three of the B&Bs beyond expectation. The walking was as expected. The longer days were hard, mainly due to the distance rather than the terrain but this was expected. We also enjoyed some great dinners along the way. Two meals taken at our B&B were memorable.

We have used Mickledore for several holidays now. We have always been pleased with the efficiency of the organisation and the accommodation used. Overall the accommodation is good to excellent. Luggage transfers have gone smoothly. So all we are left to do is to walk and enjoy the walk.

I walked this trail over two years and used Mickledore both times. The organisation was first class., with good accommodation and timings.

We had a great journey’ not only due to the great weather. We had a complicated journey in mind, but Mickledore had organized it into perfect detail (again!)

We have Mickledore organise our hiking holidays for many years now. They are very communicative, lots of attention for detail. Very accomodating before, during and after the journey. They use a great app for the trip. They select the best B&B’s.

We did a 15 day 16 night walking holiday across the country. Our accommodation was booked and our cases transferred between accommodation each day. We also had packed lunches where offered. The walks were self guided but Mickledore provide detailed information on facilities en route together with a useful map and guide.

This is our third walk with Mickledore, and you don't go back if they do a bad job do you? We told them what we wanted to do with an approximate start date and they came back with some advice about the start date and an estimate of the cost. Everything in terms of planning and booking the accommodation was left to them and they did a wonderful job. The accommodation can be anything from a hotel to a gust house or B&B but it's always carefully chosen and is always absolutely great, with a few exceptional choices along the way.
