Steam train ride to the West Highlands

We loved our holiday. Scotland is beautiful. The scenery is spectacular. We would have loved to stay longer.

We travelled by the Jacobite steam train From Fort William to Mallaig and over the sea to Skye by ferry where we enjoyed a few days at the lovely hotel Eilean Larmain, Sleat. We took a day tour of the island with the Small group tour company. Our driver was Kathleen a mature lady with all the local information anyone could possibly need as she used to drive the school bus before retiring, quite a character. We enjoyed our stay on Skye very much even though it rained most of the time.
