McKinlay Kidd provide Win- Win Holidays

I had a 4-day break travelling on the West Highland Way heading for the Isle of Skye. Rail strikes on both the day of departure and return meant that, very shortly before I left Edinburgh, the travel arrangements had to be changed completely so that I could still go but by bus, not train, and with taxis meeting me at different places (e.g. at Fort William instead of Spean Bridge). Everything went smoothly, but this is what you can expect from ...

This was my third holiday arranged by McKinlay Kidd. Each time they provided a great service - thorough planning, flawless choices and recommendations, and personal touches which make you feel valued as a customer from the first contact they make with you. The company knows exactly what you will experience BECAUSE THEY HAVE BEEN THERE BEFORE YOU!

McKinlay Kidd responded to this review on 12 Jul 2016:

Many thanks indeed for your kind comments Emma. I am very pleased that the train strikes did not spoil the trip overall.

We travelled by the Jacobite steam train From Fort William to Mallaig and over the sea to Skye by ferry where we enjoyed a few days at the lovely hotel Eilean Larmain, Sleat. We took a day tour of the island with the Small group tour company. Our driver was Kathleen a mature lady with all the local information anyone could possibly need as she used to drive the school bus before retiring, quite a character. We enjoyed our stay on Skye very much even though it rained most of the time.
