A 10 day holiday combining a city break in Porto by 7 days of walking in the beautiful and unspoilt Peneda Gerês National Park.

Excellent organisation from start to finish. Lots of useful pre travel info. Walk notes on paper, maps and the information/ navigation on the smartphone app were very helpful. Accommodation of a high standard. A well designed holiday package!

We covered 50miles of paths, Roman road and forrest tracks in 7 days of walking. Not long distances but varied and interesting walking through small towns and ending up in a stunning hotel, a converted monastery, a fitting end to the week.

On Foot provides a well-organised and personal service. You get the feeling that contacts on the ground and those in the home organising team care about you and your experience. All the walks we have booked through this operator have provided a mix of interest and with an appropriate level of challenge. Accommodation ranges from the basic to the quite luxurious and is carefully selected to meet the needs of those who, after a good days walking just need a fair level of comfort.

We went on our first walking holiday and it was amazing and On Foot Holidays care and diligence made it so.

We travelled to Northern Portugal with On Foot holidays for a 4 day route.

An amazing eight days walking in Nthn Portugal. We loved that everything had been organised and all we had to do was enjoy a fabulous days walk across diverse and interesting landscape. Breakfasts and picnic lunches were provided so we just headed out the door! When we arrived at our accommodation we were greeted by our host who settled us in and provided information on dinner arrangements. So relaxing!

Our tour operators were fantastic. It was the first time we’ve used On Foot and we were impressed with the level of support prior to our holiday and the high level of organisation during. After a couple of days we could tell the holiday had been well planned by professionals.

After a long, wet and grey English winter, walking in the remote Peneda-Geres in warm sunshine was the perfect balm. Beautiful scenery, remote villages and charming accommodation made for a very pleasant break.

Very well organised, excellent communication and the provision of extensive information/GPS route finding. This is my third On Foot walking holiday, which is testament to highly I rate their performance.

An excellent holiday discovering a quiet, unspoilt and relatively unknown area of Spain. Every part of the organisation of the holiday happened efficiently and as planned ie transfers all occurred according to plan, hosts were expecting us and knew our dietary requirments. The accommodation was of a high standard given the limited availability in a non-touristy area and the On Foot staff had obviously built up a good personal relationship with our hosts so we benefitted from those personal touches ie home made cakes and jams, swimming pool pump turned on just for us, restuarant opening just to serve us on a Sunday evening. Wonderful walking holiday in a beautiful, different, interesting and relatively undiscovered area of Portugal - a very memorable and special holiday.

On Foot holidays couldn't have been more helpful, friendly and efficient. From my very first inital enquiry phone call every dealing I had with them was dealt with in an efficient, courteus and most helpful manner. The written information was extremely thorough and comprehensive.

Our self-guided walking holiday was fantastic, small villages, beautiful people and able to get off the beaten track, but knowing you have the backing of such a great company in Onfootholidays.

This was our second walk with Onfootholidays, I cannot fault them everything is organised to a tee, instructions are clear, their local contacts are fantastic. It just gives you so much confidence knowing that onfoot have organised things. We can't wait till our next walk, just need to decide where!!!

Varied styles of accommodation, all of which were very good. Walking varied and matched the brochure description with regard to toughness etc.

Have used On Foot on various occasions and always found them excellent to deal with. There on site representatives are also attentive and willing to assist.

We walked for 6 days in the most stunning and remote national park in NE Portugal. We stayed in a real variety of accommodation from simple to luxurious but cleverly chosen and all very small and personal. The walks were very accurately described in terms of distance and heights climbed.

They were very personal and adaptable. When we had a problem when on the holiday, they sorted things out very quickly and efficiently. The route we walked was brilliantly thought out with good distances mapped out between accommodation.
