Hotels varied from 5* to lodges but, all of excellent standard. Tour content cultural and historical , visiting many temples, museums and places of interest. Very competent and efficient Tour Guide and Driver, felt very safe along mountain roads and hiking tracks.

A varied holiday with opportunities to view and photograph flora and fauna, as well as participate in activities such as zip lining, coffee producers and volcanic landscapes. Be prepared for rain and humidity, as this is vital to the lush vegetation and prolific wildlife. The longest hike was 10km on one day only. The guide was flexible, and there were options for those not wanting to experience canopy walkways or longer walks.

Mountain Kingdoms offer a wide variety of adventure holidays. This is my second holiday with them. They seem to use companies based in the destination to fulfil the trip, which has the benefit of a guide with local knowledge who is able to assist with translation and access to medical services etc., if needed.

All the travel arrangements worked smoothly. We had an excellent guide, and thoroughly enjoyed the 12 day trek, through varied scenery up to the Annapurna Base Camp and back down again. We enjoyed passing through Nepalese villages, with water buffalo grazing and crops spread out to dry, and meeting other trekkers in the teahouses.

Mountain Kingdoms provided detailed and helpful information. Their arrangements with the in-country agents were flawless. (Mountain Kingdoms were also very helpful when we originally tried to do this holiday in March 2020 and I was briefly stuck in Delhi.)

An unforgettable experience on many levels that exceeded already high expectations. The cultural history is fascinating, monasteries and dzongs providing exquisite settings in which to learn about this unique country. The trek was extraordinary, taking us through forests humming with cicadas, up rivers, along ridges with views of the verdant valleys far below, boulders, lakes, a yak. All enhanced by our truly exceptional guide, Ugyen and his crew. So grateful to have made this trip.

Really committed to the country and very knowledgeable. Navigated all the changes and ups and downs of Covid really well and where a mistake occurred they more than made up for by treating us to a fantastic meal! They made adjustments for us, gave great guidance and responses.
