Excellent organisation, superb itinerary and accommodation

A 6 day gentle/ moderate trek in the foothills of the Annapurna, we were superbly looked after by everyone at all the lodges and our guides and Sherpas were wonderful. We were lucky enough to have great weather and the views were incredible.

A proper adventure!

What an incredible trip! Even though bad weather meant we couldn’t make it over Larkya La, it was still such an amazing experience from start to finish. One of my favourite moments was watching the sunrise over Manaslu from Shyala. Absolutely breathtaking and something I’ll never forget. It was tough in parts but so rewarding, and Mountain Kingdoms had everything running smoothly the whole way. Would 100% recommend this trip to anyone who loves big mountains and proper adventure. Our assistant guides - Bahadur and Pharsa Man were amazing. They were calm and organised, especially when the weather turned, always looking out for everyone. Our porters were incredible too. Very cheerful and kept everything running smoothly no matter the conditions.

Everything was organised extremely well from start to finish.

Silk Road Mountains & Monuments by Swisstrekker, 27 Oct 2025

An enjoyable and varied insight into the culture and trekking opportunities in Uzbekistan

A combination of trekking and sight seeing taking in the main silk road cities and two ranges of mountains in Uzbekistan. Good four star hotels, good transport and excellent cultural guides. The homestays were an experience and were quite decent quality on the whole. Very well organised by Mountain Kingdoms and despite being full-on, very enjoyable. We took advantage of the extension trip to Fergana and were pleased we did.

Excellent, experienced company who go to great lengths to provide the best experience possible in some less well explored places. This is the third trip we have done with them and would highly recommend. We had a health incident on the trip and could not have had better back up service.

Cultural Tour of Bhutan by Rob, 14 Oct 2025
Holiday Rating:

An enormously enjoyable destination

Our small group tour was the best way to see this emerging destination. I have noticed this year that new operators are visiting Bhutan for the first time with their maximum group size of 20 to 24, which in this country, I feel would be too large to manage successfully.

Modern but still connecting to tradition

Buthan is isolated but fully connected. No beaches but mountains and experiences. The People are kind and polite. We had 12 days filled with fantastic scenery, challenging environments and climate, a wonderful experience.

Spectacular 11-day small-group Himalayan camping trek

We were a small group of 7 trekkers plus local staff, attempting a new route over remote mountains along the Bhutan-Tibet border. Our 11-day circular route included unvisited passes between 4000m and 5000m and included a mixture of designated and improvised camp sites. Physical and weather weather conditions were both challenging but we were expertly guided and supported throughout, making for a very enjoyable and successful adventure.

Mountain Kingdoms bring decades of experience to trekking in the Himalayas, especially Bhutan. From beginning to end their level of organisation and attention to detail was exemplary. I felt I was in safe hands throughout. The hand-picked team of local staff, including chef, horsemen, and cultural guide, were superb.

Thank you so much for your very kind comments. It certainly was the most remarkable exploration. Apologies for the rain ! However, it did not dampen our spirits.

Three High Passes to Everest by Grant, 7 May 2025

Three High Passes Trek in Nepal - amazing!

This was a 3 week holiday in Nepal, trekking in the Everest region. We summited 5 points over 5000m and covered about 160km in 18 days. It was just me and a family member together with a Nepalese guide and porter, we stayed in guest houses along the route and all meals were included. The trip was an incredible experience and we will go back again!

Rating for tour operator:

The staff in the London office were very helpful in the planning of this trip, the local contact in Nepal was excellent and very flexible when we needed to change plans due to delays or other issues. Our guide and porter were absolutely brilliant, I believe Mountain Kingdoms does a great job in selecting qualified local people and ensures they are well taken care of.

Mountain Kingdoms responded to this review on 07 May 2025:
