Well organised

We spent a week in Morrocco - half at the Rebali Riads in Sidi Kaouki, near the town of Essaouira and the rest at the Riad Hikaya in Marrakech

Rating for tour operator:

Fleewinter organised our accomodation, transfers from the airport to Rebali Riads on the coast, and then a transfer from there to our hotel in Marrakech for the second half of our holiday. They also organised a trek in the Atlas mountains, again with transport and a guide. Everything went like clockwork and was perfectly organised. The accommodation was superb - couldn't be faulted.

Wonderful Morocco! Not scary at all!

We spent 3 nights in Marrakech (day trip to Imlil - beautiful) and four sud Essaouira The scenery was stunning, accomodation spotless and wonderful. The food outstanding and arrived non-stop :). The staff in both Riads were kind, thoughtful and attentive and we had a fabulous time. The staff in both Riads were kind, thoughtful and attentive and we had a fabulous time. Morocco has always intrigued me due to the fact that there is the sahara hiding behind snow capped mountains and also the mix of cultures, with the french road signs and postboxes and the Berber robes. I enjoyed being there more than I had dared hope. We also got engaged which was a bit of a surprise to me! A wonderful week.

Fleewinter gave us sensible advice and everything just worked! It was difficult to notice their input without thinking about it because there was no need to involve them. The transfers were prompt and lovely, drivers great, riads well selected.

Fleewinter responded to this review on 05 Mar 2014:

Glad it went well and congratulations on your engagement. Although this is not a part of our holiday packages we can guarantee...

Morocco was the perfect country for a winter break, weather, history, culture, very educational & lovely people

The Riads you choose for us were just what we were looking for, the Villa De L'O in Essouria has a magical location, and Essouria was lovely. Then Riad Hikaya in the old Medina in Marrakech was the great contrast to to the coast. John Pittaway the owner was the most helpful& knowledgeable mine host you could wish for.

We were extremely delighted with the whole holiday booked with you. You understood what we wanted to achieve and you certainly organised a great break to briefly flee our UK winter, thanks & all the best for the future.

Smooth

We booked a six day holiday to Morocco, combining a relaxing stay at the coast with two days in Marrakech and a day-trip to the Atlas mountains. It was brilliant.

This was our first trip to Morocco, and last-minute booking didn't leave time to read up on destinations and the country. But this didn't matter as everybody else involved in our holiday booking was extremely organised and knowledgeable. The notes provided by Fleewinter were very helpful. The taxi drivers were on time, fluent in English and drove rather defensively (a definite plus in Morocco). The riads, both in Sidi Kaouki and in Marrakech, were beautiful, with very helpful and friendly owners and staff. Overall we had an amazing time and fell in love with Morocco. This was made easy by Fleewinter and everybody associated with them.

The right mix of activities - relaxing, sight-seeing, spa treatments, dining out and hiking. Could not have asked for more.

My husband and I booked a week in Morocco with Flee Winter: we spent a few days in Essaouira, where we chilled out – this involved spa treatments and walks along the coast. Then on to Marrakech, where we immersed ourselves in the markets and wandered around the medina. The final day was a trip to the mountains where a guide took us on a challenging four hour walk around up winding paths in the High Atlas. In both destinations, we stayed in Rhiads ...

Then on to Marrakech, where we immersed ourselves in the markets and wandered around the medina. The final day was a trip to the mountains where a guide took us on a challenging four hour walk around up winding paths in the High Atlas. In both destinations, we stayed in Rhiads which were on a par with any European boutique hotel, yet had a distinctly Moroccan charm. All in all, the trip ticked all the boxes for us and exceeded our expectations.

Rating for tour operator:

Flee Winter was great – I could not ask more of my tour operator. They really understood what we were looking for in our trip and came up with the perfect itinerary. If I had not gone through Flee Winter, I would probably have booked a week in Marakesh and found it too overwhelming for a full week. The Flee Winter team was attentive and worked with good partners on the ground – I can speak highly of the riads and private transfers.
