excellent

A really enjoyable experience, visiting the great houses & gardens of theirish Lakeland District. Lead by Tom Duncan, an Irishman well known to many of the families , who own these houses & who offered us personal hospitality.

Tom Duncan is a matchless narrator of Irish history & society. The whole trip was very well organised.

Brilliant

Organisation, visits, food all as good as expected

Rating for tour operator:

Ciceroni lives up to all its hype - the 'special' visits, the excellence of the food and liquid refreshments chosen, and above all the information imparted, not only on site but also on the journeys to them.

Great overview of some gems in N Ireland

This tour included some really special opportunities to see great examples of architecture as well as visit some fine houses (as well as their art content) in Counties Fermanagh and Tyrone at a sensible pace, while enjoying the services of an expert to guide in their interpretation. Great accommodation and a warm welcome everywhere in N Ireland.

All inclusive really. Well organised throughout. Fairly priced for the content and experience. I would rate them highly.

A most interesting and pleasant holiday.

The flight travelling arrangements were very good, even to the extend of arranging 'wheelchair transfer' to and from airport departure lounge to aircraft. The tour buses were very comfortable and clean, and driven; the driver too was most helpful with boarding and exiting the tour buses. The hotel accomodation and food was excellent. The scheduled visits were interesting, although somewhat strenuous for a couple aged 89 + 82 - ,but we were aware ...

The tour buses were very comfortable and clean, and driven; the driver too was most helpful with boarding and exiting the tour buses. The hotel accomodation and food was excellent. The scheduled visits were interesting, although somewhat strenuous for a couple aged 89 + 82 - ,but we were aware of that when making our reservations. We saw 'Country Houses' which we would not have been able to visit had we tried to visit them on our own. Lastly, most of the other members of this 'Group' were 'our kind of people', with similar education and social background, which enhanced the quality of this holiday.

Rating for tour operator:

The Tour Operator /Manager / Guide was outstanding in respect of the historical background of the Country (Ireland) and the various properties and gardens which we visited; he was also superb in the way he made his presentations.

Very enjoyable

We very much enjoyed the variety of the holiday - visiting beautiful and interesting buildings and churches, villas and gardens and tasting the local wines. We stayed in a very well chosen hotel outside Verona with lots of space and a swimming pool. The highlights of our visit were the two evenings at the opera in the Arena.

Our tour operator was very good and all the details were taken in hand. Our guide on the holiday, as well as the local guide, were excellent and very knowledgeable.

cultural & arts

My holiday lived up to my expectations. The heat wave in Italy at the time obviously not something Ciceroni could avoid/mitigate lessened my overall enjoyment

Ciceroni came up to my highest expectations

The choice of Ballymaloe House Hotel was perfect. Extremely comfortable, charming staff for whom nothing was any trouble at all, and the food you would expect from an internationally renowned Hotel/cooking school, with breakfasts I would choose as my last meal. We were privileged to visit several of the more hidden and private houses and gardens of Cork guided by our very interesting and erudite tour leader Tom Duncan.
