My Husband and I had an amazing holiday with Ciceroni to St Petersburg. We started our arrival into St Petersburg with a group dinner and then every day we met in the lobby and walked or coached to visit the famous sites of St Petersburg. We stayed near St Isaac's cathedral and made a visit there to start with then went to the Peter and Paul Fortress. During the week we had three visits to the Hermitage which was great as it was so busy and so to dip in and out was exactly the right thing to do. We also went on the hydrofoil to Peterhof to visit Peter the Great's Palace and also saw the Chinese Pavilion made for Catherine the Great. We enjoyed a canal cruise and visit to the Church of spilled blood which was amazing! We also visited the Russian Art Museum and Tsarskoe Selo, Catherine the Great's favoured retreat. We finished the trip with a visit to Pavlosk the Palace of Paul I. We enjoyed many group lunches and dinners.

Tom, from Ciceroni, who guided the group through the week, was so informative and enthusiastic about all the subjects and places we visited. We love travelling with Ciceroni as they look after you so well. The hotels they book are always good combined with great organisation of all the transport and logistics of moving the group from place to place. Tom also had a Russian guide to come along with us which also adds to the smooth running of the trip. If you went on your own you would not cover as much as we did as a group. We had all our tickets and entrance times booked into the Hermitage and all our meals pretty organised.

A week spent visiting all the main Palaces, three visits to the Hermitage, a production of Swan Lake, eating in delightful restaurants with delicious Russian food. A delightful Russian guide, very easy on the eye for the men in our party, who could not stand Putin, very refreshing! Our Hotel, the Astoria was excellent. All in all a wonderful week.

Ciceroni has to be the best small tour operator. Very efficiently run with their leader, Tom Duncan, being so knowledgeable in his subject & such a joy to listen to. We are hoping he will return to Jordan as we will certainly go there with Ciceroni.

The perfect balance of content between Washington and Virginia, monuments and galleries, and between history and the present day. Great access to places where the general public can't easily access. The tour was led by an engaging and well-informed manager, supported by excellent local guides. Overall, this provided a brilliant insight into the history of the formation of the USA and, by visiting the key presidential estates, into the principal figures who founded the new republic. Excellent!

Ciceroni are a really client-focuses tour operator, who ensure that everyone is looked after. They generate a high level of repeat bookings due to the quality of their tours and the the sense of community (almost family) that is developed among clients. I'd warmly recommend them.

Very well orgnanized, interesting programme visiting historical buildings and beautiful gardens. Gained many new insights into art, history and landscape of Ireland.

Would shoose Ciceroni again.

Tom Duncan is a star. He took us round several neo-classical houses in North West Ireland, some belonging to the National Trust and others privately owned. We looked at art and artefacts, and he told us about the history of the island of Ireland. Never been to Ireland before, and the holiday was amazing. Full board- apart from one lunch. Lovely food. I am now on a diet. Wonderful accommodation.

This tour of lakeland Ireland took us to a variety of interesting castles and buildings. Tom Duncan gave us an excellent insight into the history of Ireland and the architectural influences on the various buildings. We stayed in a private house which gave proceedings a country house atmosphere. Our exceptional leader was both amusing and informative.

It would be hard to find anything negative to say about this exceptional small travel company. From the time you make the booking to the time you are escorted back to the airport you can be assured that every detail of the trip has been carefully thought through. The standard of guiding is excellent and a Ciceroni holiday is a treat.

We stayed in a castle, we visited castles owned by the ristocracy and the National Trust, we met and were entertained by the aristocracy and we had a wonderful summary of Irish history from our leader.

The leader is not only an historian and art historian, but is on personal terms with the aristocracy we cisited. The organisation of the tourwas excellent.

We had an excellent time visiting a variety of houses full of interest and treasures all described with enthusiasm together with background history which informed and explained. It was a lovely holiday. We had very good food and good fun.

I always enjoy any tours run by Ciceroni for their efficiency, generosity, interest and variety.

Tom Duncan's amazing knowledge and connections within the destinations on the tour, made a holiday very interesting and worthwhile. The accommodation, transportation and administration were all excellent.
