Due to the excelllent service provided by my booking company Mickledore, my walking holiday along the Great Glen Way was a complete success!

MIckledore took care of every detail in superb fashion si I had nothing to worry about but walking every day.

Our most recent Mickeldore holiday was a walking holiday following the Great Glen Way from Fort William to Inverness. A fantastic route through the Scottish Highlands from the West coast to the East. Mickeldore booked us into various B and Bs, guesthouses and hotels along the way and arranged baggage transfer. This meant we could enjoy our daily walk with a light rucksack, which, most days, contained a delicious packed lunch provided by our hosts.

Once again we were massively impressed by the standard of accommodation booked for us. The travel pack provided by Mickeldore included not only excellent route information and maps but also all the info we needed about local services at each of our stopovers. We have enjoyed three Mickeldore walking holidays …..so far. We will be back !

This was a self-guided walking tour along the Great Glen Way in Scotland, as a group of 3 couples. We were impressed with the standard of guest house accommodation, with well-appointed rooms, welcoming hosts and great breakfasts. The taxi transfers, arranged by Mickledore on a couple of days, were prompt and worked well. The information packs were comprehensive and helpful in providing information on restaurants for evening meals. The luggage transfer service worked seamlessly, and was very useful.

The tour operator provided excellent accommodation, comprehensive information packs, and reliable transfers.

We wanted to walk tge Great Glen Way in a relaxed way and Mickledore allowed us to do this by arranging all accommodation, bag transfers and providing good information about the walk and local services.

Very professional, provides all the information we needed. Good level of accommodation is provided by them and good follow up to ensure all our needs have been met.

Very pleased with Mickledore's Great Glen Way holiday. All the B&Bs were very good and some were exceptional, taxi pick ups all on time too.

We were kept informed as to what was happening in the run up to the holiday and even received a phone call while we were away to update us on the changing situation in Scotland re Covid19 restrictions. Very impressed with Mickledore's professionalism and will doubtless use them again.

We walked the Great Glen way in Scotland with support from Mickledore Travel. This long distance trail is 79 miles, which we walked in 7 days and it was the first time that I had attempted anything as taxing as this! The Great Glen trail is a very well marked and maintained track which crosses a variety of terrain, including low lying canal paths, Caledonian temperate rain forest and gorgeous views of Ben Nevis and Loch Ness from some of the higher elevations along the walk. On most days we walked for 11-13 miles with ascents of up to 450 metres in parts. The views were absolutely stunning!

We were delighted with the service we received from Mickledore Travel. They arranged all our accommodation; taxis to and from the trail where necessary and organised to transport our bags from one hotel/B&B to another. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the accommodation that Mickledore arranged for us. We tend to find staying in the UK to be a very hit and miss experience in terms of good service and decent accommodation, but all of the properties on our tour were of a good standard, some were positively delightful! The hosts were universally warm, helpful and gave us scrumptious breakfasts and huge lunches! Bag transport worked perfectly and the whole trip went like clockwork! We were particularly impressed with the material that Mickledore provided to support us during our holiday - a map, detailed trail guide, discount for Cotswold Outdoors and list of cafes and restaurants to book for our evening meals - it was far more than we were expecting!
