It is a superb walk, with stunning scenery along the way. The route includes babbling rivers, teaming with wildlife, quaint villages and desolate moors. The pubs and B&Bs are excellent, with very friendly owners and delicious breakfasts.

Mickledore were excellent, providing a superb service with booking the accommodation and providing all the essential information we needed about facilities along the route, places to eat, maps and a great guide book, which highlighted points of interest along the route.

We walked from Ilkley to Bowness on Windermere over 7 days, staying in bed and breakfasts along the way. It was an excellent trip, and everything was well organised.

Mickledore arranged for our accommodation, and sent us an excellent holiday pack (summarising where we would be staying each night, and how to get there) with a map, and a guide book for the route. There were no major issues, and they quickly dealt with any minor issues that came up. They were really good at communicating with us (before, during, and after the holiday).

We had a wonderful walking holiday staying in superb accommodation through Yorkshire Dales from Ilkley to Bowness.

We were provided with excellent instructions, maps and lists of restaurants and taxis at each destination.

I was having a wonderful hiking holiday when half way through I was struck down with a knee injury (not while hiking). Mickledore sorted everything for me. As I was on my own, a foreigner, staff phoned everyday checking on me and having a chat (she became my best buddy for a few days).

Mickledore arrange hiking holidays. I found the accommodation ranged from standard to luxurious, especially with the B&Bs. We are provided with a water proof, tear proof map and one month free with OS maps offline. Mickledore have plotted the walk on OS maps, anytime I wasn't sure where to go all I had to do was look at OS maps and follow the blue line. For someone with a poor sense of direction, this was so good and made me feel safe.

This was our first walking holiday with Mickledore, and we had a great time. The communication and organisation was excellent, and all the different hotels, pubs and B&B's we stayed in were lovely. The Dales Way is a really enjoyable route - beautiful scenery and a good challenge, but not too arduous!

Mickledore never disappoints - charming accomodations, tons of resources/information, sound advice, no worries. This was our fourth trip with Mickledore and we'll book with them again.

This past May I experienced both walks. The Dales Way won my heart because of the stunning beauty of the Yorkshire Dales. My friend and I had unseasonably warm and dry weather. The walking was not too strenuous. All the accommodations made by Mickledore were spot on—-clean, comfortable, welcoming. The Fife Coastal Path was fun but the walking wasn’t my favorite. At the first of the walk there was a lot of asphalt walking. Also, having to cross golf courses was stressful. Non of that was the responsibility of Mickledore. Their part of the walk, accommodations , again, were spot on. The lodgings were excellent and the proprietors of the lodgings were so gracious and helpful.

Our sixt holiday with Mickledore, this year we walked the Cleveland Way. As always: everything was well in order, from the holiday pack to the B&B's. Even other walkers asked us who booked our lovely places. Would recomment Mickkledore to everyone who likes to walk in Great Britain and wants to have a carefree holiday!

We (6 of us) booked the Dales Way hike through Mickledore, and enjoyed seeing the beautiful English countryside.

They made all our arrangements for lodging, and provided us with maps, guidebooks, and information on the villages we’d be in so we could make dinner reservations. This was our 3rd Mickledore trip, and we’re already talking about our next one!
