The cricket at Galle was the main draw for us but the diversity of this island, it’s food, people and fascinating mixture of religions and cultures will stay in our memories and hearts forever.

Taking into account our requirements they assembled an itinerary which met our varying needs, provided useful information before departure, had very knowledgable people on the ground in Sri Lanka and made us feel that our needs were paramount. I would have no hesitation in using them again.

Holiday was amazing - hotels were fabulous, Sri Lankan people are so warm and kind, food was scrumptious, scenery was so lush and green. Sri Lanka needs to be on everyone's bucket list to visit!

Firstly can we say a big thank you to Toni for all her help with the itinerary and all my questions after booking with her. Toni chose great hotels for us, we had the holiday of our lives. Our guide, Samon, was waiting for us on landing and couldn't have treated us any better. His pride and knowledge of his country was amazing. He was always on time with the car, and himself, immaculate with enthusiasm. We really couldn't have had a better guide, from halting charging elephants with the palm of his hand and climbing a palm tree he went above and beyond to make our week in Sri Lanka perfect. We were sad to leave him when we left for the Maldives.

Wherever we travel I have always not wanted to be labelled a tourist I know this is an illusion but by choosing a small travel company we ' senior ' travellers felt privelidged not to be transported everywhere in a large coach and benefit from the personal attentions of an excellent driver I would call a companion We appreciated the small ' boutique ' places we stayed in as well as the final luxury of the Amangalla Sri Lanka is a gentler India , lush and fertile and very beautiful We found the heat and humidity at times oppressive but most places had air conditioning The mud hut was certainly an unforgettable experience , sitting on the outside latrine one morning a startlingly yellow golden oriel perched right in front of me A bird watchers delight ! Lots of tea , coconut , smiles and laughter A holiday to remember M
