Walking - The Isle of Skye Traveller Reviews

We went on a seven day hike in Isle of Skye. We stayed for three nights in the north and then three nights in the south. We got to see all around the Isle, which was fantastic. I really feel like I got a good picture of what life is like there, the history and culture of the place. We hiked about 6-10 miles a day, and saw many beautiful vistas and places.

Susie Hill is a pro, who is kind and considerate and thoughtful. I was impressed by her. She also had great insight into the land and culture. She was very good at telling us about where we hiked and showed us on a map several times all the places we drove to and hiked around.

Great organisation, fabulous walks and a professional guide who took a great deal of care to ensure that we were safe and happy.

Great pre trip information and helpful staff to call with any questions. The recommended equipment and first aid checklists were helpful and comprehensive.

I did two back-to-back trips with Wilderness Scotland in July 2021 - The Outer Hebrides followed by Wilderness Walking on the Isle of Skye. Both trips were well planned and executed, with no glitches at all (no small challenge in these Covid affected times!). Food was great, and the guides were fantastic - knowledgeable, caring and even helpful in giving me suggestions for my onwards travels.

I would absolutely travel with Wilderness Scotland again. I found them very easy and helpful to deal with, and flexible too.

I am a 75 year old Grandmother who traveled with my daughter on this small group hiking tour of Isle of Skye. We met and thorough enjoyed 5 other wonderful friendly fun loving people and our amazing guide Gordon Anderson. Each day gave us new insights and beauty and adventure that were beyond our expectations and our Hotel stays and Restaurant meals were all high quality. I have dietary Gluten Free needs that were catered to and I felt strong and healthy all week long for which I am most grateful.

Gordon is a very fine, friendly, well educated and informative young man who has a fine Scottish sense of humour and pride of his heritage. He communicated well with us all and we all felt safe and cared for by him. Wilderness Scotland are excellent as organizers and dedicated to providing excellent service and making sure all clients are suitably prepared and ready to go hiking in beautiful places.
