We spent a week walking / hiking in the Cairngorms National Park in Scotland. Trip of a lifetime!

A weeks hiking in the Cairngorms National park, incredible hikes lead by two amazing mountain leaders.

Wilderness Scotland offers amazing hiking experiences, this was my second trip with them.

Accommodations were both stellar. Restaurant choices were awesome. The Cairngorms were beautiful .

3rd trip with WS, and I am once again SO impressed. Our original guide got sick the day before, and WS seamlessly replaced him with 2 fabulous guides, each taking some day's guiding duties. Additionally, we had some "weather", and the itinerary was adjusted perfectly. Accommodations were both stellar. Restaurant choices were awesome. The Cairngorms were beautiful .

This was a trip of a lifetime! We took a 7 day trip hiking (8-10 miles/day) through the Cairngorms National Park & Royal Deeside. The scenery was spectacular! Our accommodations in small tows were very comfortable. All our meals were well prepared and absolutely delicious! Accommodations for food sensitivities were made. Our guide was knowledgeable about our hiking locations. We feel like we had an intimate trip to Scotland, close to nature & the locals. The small tour size of 8 people certainly is certainly a positive.

This is a second trip with this tour operator--one time in Ireland & one time in Scotland. Day by day itineraries were provided with details of exactly what our days would be. All of our pre-trip questions were answered promptly via email. There are a wide range of trips for all outdoor adventures, something to suit everyone's abilities.

As a walking holiday newbie I was nervous about taking on a seven-day-in-a-row walking trip. Would I be able to keep up? Would it be too much? I prepared as much as I could ... and it was one of the best weeks of my life! The trails were manageable - a bit difficult sometimes, but I liked being pushed a bit. My fellow travelers and I got on beautifully, the food was plentiful and delicious, and the accommodations were very comfortable. But the star of the week was the setting; I was awed by the beauty of the Scottish Highlands and will be wearing out my friends and family talking about this place.

Wilderness Scotland was organized and responsive. I had all the information I needed to prepare for the trip, and the trip itself was run very smoothly. My guide was knowledgeable and always one step ahead of us with plans and information; he was a gem. I can't imagine the week going better than it did.

Very professional, excellent guide and a memorable week.

Guided walks for a week, with B&B’s. The guide delivered clearly planned and managed walks each day. Safety was well managed (although no issues) and explained.

Wilderness Scotland

The small group and focused itinerary that did not require endless driving time was very important. The choice of walking areas introduced us to a wonderful variety of Cairngorms ecosystems and geography. Time spent walking and immersed in the landscape was essential for our experience.

Both Wilderness Scotland and our Guide were professional, efficient and quick to replay and answered questions before the tour and during. I felt like we were in safe and knowledgeable hands and was able to relax and enjoy the experience.

We recently finished a great 7 day walking trip with Wilderness Scotland. The walks covered both Dee-side and Spey-side of the park. Walks were varied, always interesting, and our guide Dave Greer took us to a variety of locations that helped paint a picture of the history, natural beauty, and human impacts on the park. Our two guest house stays were lovely, meals terrific, and small group size just right.

Wilderness Scotland is a top notch tour operator. This was our 4th trip with them. Sea kayaking and wilderness walking in the Highlands, Inner Hebrides, and Northern Ireland. Details are well thought through. Places to stay, meals, walks or paddles are always well planned and executed in a flexible way to make the trip special. Our guides with Wilderness Scotland have been top notch. Knowledgeable, friendly, a pleasure to be with.
