Argentina, the wonders of Nature

We have seen the soaring mountains, glaciers, icebergs...spectacular but hard to describe! The condors, the sea lion and cormorant colonies, the lenga forests, the pristine glacial lakes made the trip a memorable one. The people warm, friendly and helpful, made it even more enjoyable.

A Peruvian adventure!

We travelled to Peru in October for 17 days. We had an incredible experience visiting Lima, Paracas, Cusco, Machu Picchu, the Sacred Valley, Puno, the Colca Canyon and Arequipa. Picking the best bit is impossible. We've seen lines in the desert drawn for the Gods and Inca citadels high in the Andes. We've slept in reeds huts floating on the highest navigable lake in the world and in beautifully preserved colonial houses. We've watched the ...

Picking the best bit is impossible. We've seen lines in the desert drawn for the Gods and Inca citadels high in the Andes. We've slept in reeds huts floating on the highest navigable lake in the world and in beautifully preserved colonial houses. We've watched the Condor soar and gazed at the milky way through the eyes of the Inca astronomers. I had dreamt of a holiday to Peru for almost 25 years; this country - its people, its history, its landscapes - did not disappoint. We will never forget our time in Peru and hope to visit again!!

Journey Latin America put together an excellent bespoke itinerary which packed in everything we wanted to do into a relatively short time. The ground logistics were generally excellent.

Wonderful

We visited Chile, Argentina and Brazil. All were interesting and diverse. We had the best tour leader, whose knowledge of South America was incredible. He knew the best restaurants, and devoted all his time to make sure we had a good holiday.

I was recommended JLA by someone who had been with them before. I communicated with a staff member who was always friendly and replied to emails promptly. The pre-holiday information was as full as possible, and included guide books for each country we visited. I have been impressed by the information which was given to us.

Fantastic.

Amazing trip to Machu Pichu and the Sacred Valley. I hadn't realised quite how many archaeological sites there were. All the guides and drivers assigned to us were fantastic, very knowledgeable and kind. The advice and recommendations made to us when booking the tour show how well they know the areas we were travelling too.

A truly unforgettable trip to Peru, Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands

I have just returned from a 17-night trip to South America. We started in Cusco, Peru to visit Machu Picchu. We then went on to Ecuador where we spent two nights in the Mindo cloud forest which was an amazing experience, followed by 2 nights in Quito. It gave us a real flavour of the different aspects of Ecuador and a desire to see more of this small but diverse country. It was a truly amazing experience and one which I will never forget. It really was a dream come true!

The whole experience from the first telephone conversation with Lina Fuller at Journey Latin America to the holiday itself was absolutely faultless. Lina was extremely helpful, especially when, due to unforeseen circumstances, it was looking like we may have to change our dates or cancel all together. Thankfully it didn't come to this, but Lina looked at every possible option for us just in case. Local transportation and pick ups with the local reps that JLA arranged for the tailor-made part of our trip were seamless and the Galapagos cruise was outstanding. I would not hesitate to recommend this holiday and Journey Latin America.

fantastic adventure in the Guyanas

This is a journey with highlights on every day, travelling through 5 contrasting countries. The accommodation is good but you must be prepared to sleep in a hammock for one night and travel for 4 hours in a motorised canoe. There were many wonderful birds and animals spotted and as well as all this nature and culture we toured the Ariane rocket launching centre and were taught about the different kinds of rocket fuels.

Amazing

Fabulous trip to Peru. We travelled tailor-made with JLA and it was perfect in every way. Peru is such a geographically diverse country, so we were able to experience desert, mountains and jungle (which was the highlight for us).
