Patagonia topped and tailed with equally thrilling locations

Started in Santiago and Valparaiso, then we moved down to Punta Arenas and entered Patagonia proper at Lago Grey. A boat trip up to the glacier was a must & didn't disppoint. We moved onto El Calafate and the Perito Moreno glacier - again amazing. Then a spell in Ushuaia and Tierra del Fuego, finishing in Buenos Aires.

Self Drive in Costa Rica

This is the first time we had visited Costa Rica & we needed help as we lacked knowledge of where best to visit & what to see. We are not fond of coach trips, prefering our independence & JLA were the only company we found that offered a self drive with accommodation booked in advance. Our trip was enjoyable & has given us the confidence that we could now arrange another visit independently.

Journey to visit Patagonia landscapes of Chile and Argentina.

A 3 week journey from Santiago to Buenos Aires, taking in the lake district and Torres del Paine in Chile, lakes and glaciers, Mount Fitzroy area in Argentina, topped and tailed with the big cities. Variety of experiences along the way, made most enjoyable by the friendliness of the people, especially in Chile. and the excellence of the food/wine. Discovery of the vast landscapes and natural wonders of North Argentina

We travelled during three weeks visiting extremely interesting natural areas of the North of Argentina: Esteros del Ibera, Iguazu, Salta & the NorthWest (including an amazing journey on the Tren a la Nubes, climbing 300 metres!) and a most beuatiful and relaxing Estancia in the Cordoba hills.

Journey Latin America (JLA) understood our needs and preferences very well and recommended an excellent itinerary. It was obvious that our JLA representative knew the country (Argentina) well, including the suggested accommodation options. The holiday was a great success.

Superb tour across Chile, Argentina and Brazil

We flew to Santiago then on to Easter Island for 3 nights, where the arranged tours gave us a really good feel for the island, its history and culture - a truly memorable experience. Returning to Santiago we joined the "Tangara: Blue lakes and emerald coasts" tour. It was an outstanding introduction to South America offering an insight into the iconic sights of Buenos Aires, Iguazu and Rio, along with stays in some less visited places in all 3 countries. Our stay in each one left us with great memories.

Rating for tour operator:

Everything was very well planned with a surprising amount of flexibilty in the daily schedule allowing us to see more than we expected. Our tour leader Max was outstanding, working tirelessly to ensure that everybody in the group got the maximum from the trip. Based on our experience we would highly recommend JLA and will certainly seriously consider travelling with them again.

Amazing from Start to Finish

Retirement holiday for my husband. Flew to Buenos Aires and went straight to La Bamba - an Estancia in the Argentine Pampas - the highlight of our holiday - the most amazing experience. Then spent three days in BA at the Alvear Palace - another wonderful hotel - we had a city tour and attended a Tango Dinner and Show. We then flew to Iguassu, staying in the Belmond Hotel in the Brazilian Falls Park - the best hotel of all for viewing the falls...

Enjoyed Tour of all the sights and Brazilian BBQ before travelling up the coast to spend the last three days in Buzios.
