Took all the pressure out of booking and came up with a practical itinerary which allowed us to squeeze a lot into out trip. We stayed at some of the best hotels. Thanks, MaryAnne!

A memorable experience.
We travelled first to Quito where we gave ourselves a 2-night break before travelling on to the Galapagos. We were on the Galaxy Odyssey yacht in a group of 18 passengers. The cruise yacht was very comfortable with excellent food and helpful and friendly staff. Our guide took us out for walks on the islands twice daily in the early morning and mid-afternoon. We saw lots of animals at close quarters everyday which was an amazing experience...

We saw lots of animals at close quarters everyday which was an amazing experience. We returned to Quito for another 5 nights staying in the old colonial part of the city. During this time we visited the equator, the Teleficio, the Panecillo and Otovalo. We also enjoyed exploring old Quito with its quaint cobbled streets and spending time in the Plaza Independencia (the plaza grande) where there was always lots going on. We then travelled to Coca to join the Manatee Amazon Adventure cruise. This proved to be a very relaxing and unforgettable experience. Again we were taken out on guided trips twice daily which included two jungle walks. For these trips we transferred from the cruise boat to a monotorized canoe. We visited a village in the jungle, had lunch on in a jungle lodge, and enjoyed the peace and quiet of some of the narrower blackwater rivers watching the wildlife and marvelling at the lush vegetation all around. This was a once in a lifetime holiday which are so pleased to have experienced.

Journey Latin America arranged a bespoke holiday for us accommodating all our requests. They were professional, courteous and helpful throughout. Whilst on the trip we were never without a contact telephone number should we have needed help t any time.

Exceeding expectations!
A lifelong ambition fulfilled. Our journey around South America was brilliant visiting Brazil, Peru, Chile and AArgentina. Rio de Jaeiro, Mach Pichu, Valparaiso and the wine lands of Argentina all came to life. A particular highlight was Iguasu Falls which were awesome. A months journey could have been two. Just an amazing experience.

Amazing first trip to South America!
I did the Lapwing tour with Journey Latin America, with an extension to the Iguazu falls, in Jan-Feb 2016. It was a fantastic trip! Saw so much. First in Chile: Santiago, Valparaiso, Punto Arenas, then did some walking in the Torres del Paine National Park, which was beautiful. Moving on into El Calafate in Argentina, the first trip was to the Perito Moreno glacier - where I did the 'mini-ice trekking', a great experience! That was followed ...

Moving on into El Calafate in Argentina, the first trip was to the Perito Moreno glacier - where I did the 'mini-ice trekking', a great experience! That was followed by a couple of days in Ushuaia in the Tierra del Fuego region - the southernmost city in the world. The highlight was a boat trip on the Beagle Channel to see sealions, imperial cormorants, and more... Flying back up to Buenos Aires, a beautiful city; I only wish I'd had more time there. Then on to Iguazu, which was amazing. I'd highly recommend seeing both the Argentine and Brazilian sides of the falls. My first trip to south America, but definitely not my last!

Journey Latin America were excellent from the outset. They recommended various tour options to me from my initial vague ideas about places I'd like to visit. After I'd chosen my tour and extension (which suited me perfectly!), they took care of all the arrangements and bookings with no problems at all. The guide on the tour was great. He was very knowledgeable and organized. He made the whole tour run smoothly for everyone in the group. I can't find fault with JLA, and would book with them again.

The history, architecture and culture of the Ecuadorian Highlands followed by the wildlife, scenery and geology of the Galápagos
Excellent organisation, guides, transport (mostly) and great success for us. Partially group tour and partially extensions. Enjoyed it greatly.

JLA did a good job working with other companies to provide extensions.

Everything we hoped it would be.
We had a pre-booked private tour, which we carried out with the help of local guides and reps from JLA. All the hotels and transport (vouchers) worked and turned up on time. We felt the Cuban people were friendly and we never felt unsafe or 'ripped-off'. Cuba is beautiful and not over-crowded as some Asian countries tend to be. There was plenty to do and see. A lovely country.

JLA listened to what we wanted, booked it early and made recommendations where helpful. Any queries we had were answered quickly. Great to deal with.

Mexico is amazing.
We spent three nights in Mexico City and Seven in Mérida. For a city of 25 million people Mexico City works remarkably well. So much to see and do. We had a guide for some of the time and I think that without her we'd have missed a lot. The size of the place is quite daunting and she took us to places we'd never have seen otherwise. Mérida was totally different - a colonial town, very laid back. Locals were extremely friendly and helpful...

Journey Latin America suggested we spend a couple of days by the beeach but we declined.

Cuba was everything we expected and more .
It is the people, the colour, the music and the countryside that we loved . We would go back but would stay away from some of the tourist "hot spots" . We worry what will happen when direct flights from USA start up . Get there quick .

A bit overwhelmed by the scale of visitors to Cuba . A bit short on practical detail and a bit too much marketing information .

First class tour guide, great tour and we've returned with fantastic memories
This was our first guided small group tour with JLA, having done five similar tours in the Far East, and JLA and, in particular, our tour guide rate at the very top. A wonderful holiday.

JLA organised a first rate trip round Mexico and included a huge variety of experiences. We had an "add on " on the Copper Canyon railway, which JLA subcontracted to Condor Verde, and this was well organised too. We have be been home for a couple of days and already recommended both operators to a number of friends.

Cuba is different
My wife and I had an 18 day holiday in Cuba including a 10 day self drive tour of the west of the Island. Cuba is a country where it seems that the clocks stopped. It has a wealth of colonial style buildings and is a must for lovers of 1950s American cars (and you will learn to love them even if you don't now!). Every city has its own character and atmosphere with old Havana and Trinidad of particular note for fine buildings and lively music...

To the west of Havana, Vinales and Las Terrazas are in lovely countryside with lots of birds and other wild life. After 10 days travelling, we had 3 nights of all-inclusive luxury at Varadero, a great place for a rest. If you speak Spanish, self drive is good but you are likely to need to ask people for directions. All accommodation and a range of local guides were arranged for us.
