I spent 28 days in Colombia, visiting many places, friendly Colombians, I felt very safe, fantastic local guides, which I have made my friend's, it's not what people think about Colombia, it's a rich country, very diverse, each city has its own unique culture

We're just back from a two-week trip to Colombia, a country we'd never visited before. Sophie Barber from Journey Latin America put together a tailor-made package for us; we went to the Tatakoa Desert, San Agustin, Popayan, Bogota and Cartagena and enjoyed it all.

The ground arrangements all worked really well; the hotels were as described and the guides were great.

We did a tour of various parts of this huge country, visiting Bogota, Medellin, Cartagena, Los Llanos and the mountainous area high up above Santa Marta/Minca (El Dorado). We experienced lovely Colombian people, so many wonderful birds and animals and glorious scenery. A great mix to give us a real taste of Colombia

Three weeks in Colombia and Costa Rica, wide ranging experiences from eco lodges to rustic farm on nature reserve. Tremendous road travel over the Andes and seamless air travel where needed. JLA were really careful about sorting out whether their suggestions matched our needs. We had numerous discussions on the phone and by email before the final plan was finalised. The arrangements worked seamlessly. The trip was fascinating. Their pre departure information was tremendous and their app which included the itinerary, tickets, maps and weather forecasts was really helpful.

A journey through Colombia allowing us to see different aspects of the country. We observed coffee and sugar production at a local level. Brilliant wildlife experiences:- Condor flying amongst wax palms; Birds, reptiles and fish on the Magdalena. Unspoilt archaeological sites.

We travelled to Bogotà, Villa de Leyva, the Amazonas, Pereira and the coffee region, Medellín, Cartagena and Tayrona National Park. We had an amazing experience discovering the scenery, birdlife, fruits and indigenous cultures of Colombia. Our guides were very knowledgeable and happy to answer all sorts of questions about Colombian culture.
