We spent two wonderful weeks visiting places we had chosen, staying in amazing hotels and sampling authentic Spain away from the crowds.

Using their website is straightforward. Their directions are clear and the suggestions for places to visit spot on because they had taken the trouble to find out our interests. There was one small issue at the start of the holiday, but the company are readily contactable and cleared the problem almost immediately. We would definitely recommend them.

Never been to Northern Spain before- would definately return. Has everything- scenery, beaches, history and not geared to mass tourism which was lovely

Selection of hotels brilliant with great variety

Difficult to find a family holiday of such quality. Superb private 5/6 bed dwelling with excellent pool in unspoilt country location surrounded by vineyards yet witin easy reach of beaches, cities, historic towns and all amenities.

Use Casas Cantabricas for friendly efficiency and knowledge of what they do and how it should be done.

Casa Vilarelo is a beautiful heritage house in a very quiet hamlet and is perfect for a summer family holiday. It has a very sheltered pool and a lovely grape vine arbour, perfect for long lunches and dinners. The casa is very well equipped and the owners next door are very obliging. There is a small supermarket and a taberna within walking distance and fantastic beaches within half hour drive.

Casa cantabricas has a great website and made it very easy to book. I like the individual attention we got and the easy payment options. The accompanying app was also a great idea. We had a problem finding the property but there was an english speaking contact who helped us, and they have since updated the instructions for future guests.

A self drive/own car tour of North Spain from the French border to the extreme west coast and back to Santander over approx. three weeks staying at nine small select hotels all planned by Andy McCulloch of Casa C.A to meet our quite exacting needs. A very useful personal App gave all the details of our tour with very accurate details on each hotel. A particular incident proved how supportive Casas were during our tour. One of the hotels suffered a serious wildfire as we approached for our three night stop with them. We were turned away by firefighters. We called Andy who immediately found an alternative very nice hotel for two nights. Fortunately the fire affected hotel only suffered smoke damage and we were able to have the third night with them after strenuous efforts by the owner to get everything cleaned up and back to normal. Casa C's detailed pre-planning and support when required whilst on tour certainly encourage to use them for a fourth time to organise Spanish holidays for us.

Very approachable and listened to our ideas for our bespoke tour. Good communication skills and accurate planning. Very familiar with hotels he selected for us. Wide knowledge of the territory so was able to refine our initial ideas for a tour and provide a smooth running three week tour.

Our 10 day tour of northern Spain included 2 nights in each of 5 locations staying in small hotels / B&Bs, all of which were of a high standard and full of character. We particularly liked Castillo el Collado where the service was outstanding. The Basque region of Spain has much to offer and is extremely good value for money compared to other regions, although it does help to speak at least a little Spanish!

The comprehensive itinerary, which included detailed maps and directions, plus recommendations on places to visit or eat was exceptional. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Casas Cantabricas as a travel company, particularly as there are few operators that specialise in this area of Spain. They know the region inside out and provided a great personal service.

Tour of the Pyrenees - travelling from the Atlantic coast of Spain to the Mediterranean. Excellent tailor-made holiday for family of 5 (older teenage children interested in the world around them) - great sights, off the beaten track, quiet villages, spectacular scenery, great authentic local food, lots of history, plenty to see and do. Very well set up and facilitated by tour company Casas Cantabricas. All the hotels were well-chosen, welcoming, clean and staff were always helpful.

The staff at Casas Cantabricas could not have been more helpful, and they arranged a superb bespoke holiday for our family at very short notice. Fantastic holiday experience -everything went without a hitch and we all had a great time!

14 days travelling in northern Spain with 6 different hotels and the freedom to explore each day as we chose. While Galicia is not really well developed for tourists and it was sometimes hard to find things we had a very good holiday. We enjoyed the lovely scenery, hotels and good food. You would need to be fairly self-reliant to gain value out of this sort of holiday.

A wonderful relaxing holiday. The hotel was superb, the location was stunning. The owners were extremely helpful, friendly and caring. The food was excellent, the meals were all of high quality and variety. If you have any allergies such as gluten free or lactose intolerant the chefs will readily cater for this. All staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is out in the countryside so you need a car to get around. Santiago about 25 minutes away. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Book procedure easy. Good communication before holiday.

The tour in itself was a very good idea and the places very beautiful. However, the second hotel in the mountains was very isolated and a stay near Potes or in Potes would have been better plus it would have been nice to know in advance how the roads would be. We were 2 ladies of over 55 years old and the driving was quite tiring at times. Also as much as I know our trip was only 8 days, in hindsight, 3 days per place would be better than 2 days to know the region a bit more and also to have time to rest as well. Of course that depends on the age of the tourists, I understand that. Otherwise, the hotels were comfortable and very beautiful and the staff very friendly and helpful at all times. I would gladly recommend you and use you again.

The organisation was wonderful. Choice of tours, hotels, styles, a book and a map sent to help us discover the regions, a hired car organised to avoid us setting it all up. That was a great help. And a last hotel close to the airport so as not to stress the last day, that was brilliant too. No complaint.
