Mickledore did a terrific job counseling us on which walk would work for our group, sending us all the info we needed (maps, local restaurants, emergency contacts, etc), booking terrific accommodations, and arranging for baggage transfers.

This summer we traveled to the United Kingdom from the States for our third Mickeldore Walking Holiday. After our wonderful experiences on Hadrian’s Wall and the Great Glen Way walks, we chose the Combined Highlights of the Cleveland Way for hill, moorland and coastal hiking. We were not disappointed. The views were amazing ….. well-earned rewards for the vigorous climbs along the Cleveland Hills and coastal paths. We looked forward at the end of each day to refreshing ourselves with the hospitality and good food at well chosen accommodations…. clean, comfortable and unique to each location along the walk. My friend and I walked the Cleveland Way in May. We booked through Mickledore as they offered the best itinerary for us. Everything was booked for us, all we had to do was walk. Almost all of the accommodation was excellent, only one or two little niggles.

The level of service we experienced was excellent. We were given maps and a guide book to the walk. Everything went according to plan, thanks to the staff at Mickledore

I completed the Cleveland Way trip with Mickledore Travel in May 2022. I chose the 11-day walk because I had plenty of time and didn't want to rush through such beautiful countryside. The trip started in Helmsley and meandered through some beautiful forestland, farmland, and small towns before reaching the coast at Saltburn-by-the-Sea. The next several days were on a trail by the ocean that was absolutely breathtaking. I didn't want the trip the end.

I was pleasantly surprised by how easy the entire experience was. The lodges Mickledore booked exceeded my expectations, the breakfasts were great, and the baggage transfer service couldn't have been better. I appreciated the hard copies of all of the information, but honestly mostly just used the Mickledore app, which came in very handy during the walk.
