I spent a week with another 8 people (including guide) hiking on Skye, Harris and Lewis. It was an unforgettable week. The landscape was amazingly beautiful, the group was great, the guide knew so much history, stories -- and was an excellent guide on some challenging terrain. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

Everything worked and was well planned and organized. It met - exceeded - my best fantasies. They couldn't have been more accommodating, their prep advise was spot on, the guide was a pro, and all the niceties like hotel and food were just right. I don't think they could have been better.

We took a week-long tour of the Outer Hebrides, exploring the beaches, dunes, hills, cliffs, and wildlife of the islands.

Wilderness Scotland was great--booking was easy, updates were frequent, our guide was great. So were accommodations and meals. It was a great vacation.

The trip was outstanding, the guide was knowledgeable, patient, and wonderful to work with. The walks were more challenging than I anticipated, but that was a good thing as we have been on tours that involved hikes that were not very challenging. The food and accommodations were great.

Our guide was Keith Miller. Keith was very knowledgeable about the locations that he took us to and knew of locations that the general tourists were not aware of. He was also knowledgeable about the flora and fauna of the area we were in. He was a big part of our having a wonderful experience on our trip.

A wonderful, fluid and delicious and beautiful journey though a road less traveled.

Guided walking (and driving) adventure in Skye and Outer Hebrides, Scotland.

They provided as complete experience of the Outer Hebrides you can do in a week. Wilderness Scotland provided a guide. Gill, who made the trip! Her excitement and her knowledge of Scotland's history, flora and fauna, and geography, is amazing. She was the perfect host and guide. Driving through Scotland she talked about where we were, what we were seeing and what it meant to Scottish history. And on the trails hiking, she described what we were encountering from the geological formations to the tiniest flowers, she talked about the birds flying by while helping us to navigate through the rocks on the trail and the bogs. Gill was consistently positive, energized and communicated the love of being a guide in everything she did. Our group had writer, musician, and poet in the group and she brought her own creativity to us as well. She shared stories, poems, and love of Scotland. She provided the experience of Scotland in both head and heart. Thank you Gill!

My husband and I took Wilderness Scotland’s walking tour of Skye and the Outer Hebrides with Craig Tweedie. This was their first of the season and only one other guest joined us. Craig shared his amazing wealth of knowledge of the history, geology, culture, flora and fauna as he guided us in some walks through the most beautiful terrain. Our accommodations and meals exceeded our expectations.

Wilderness Scotland have a great formula for providing everything you want in a tour. Their staff provided excellent guidance to booking the right tour for us. Their booking process was straight forward. They provided us with all the information needed for what to pack and where to meet. Our guide was fantastic and the tour was better than we imagined.
