We had Wilderness Scotland arrange our West Highland Way adventure - setting our own agenda they were tasked with booking our accommodation and arranging the bag forwarding service. All locations were excellent and the overall package price was affordable. We were free to carry just our day packs and enjoy the fabulous Scottish highlands for 8 days &160km walking.

Wilderness Scotland were amazing. We first booked just prior to COVID from Australia and border shutdowns meant we had a 1 year hiatus, then we rebooked to find that our borders were closed again, rebooked but again thwarted due to a family emergency and ultimately managing the estate. Fourth time lucky and the team were with us every step of the way, reassuring us that our funds were held in trust and would be available when we were finally able to do the walk.

Our trip was exactly as described by Wilderness Scotland. It was my first time completing a hike of this type- and it was the experience of a lifetime. Views were amazing! People were all so nice! We had clean and comfortable accommodations and hearty fresh food. I'm looking forward to booking the Great Glen Way next year. I will train differently-- I am a distance walker but had minimal experience with the varied terrain of the WHW. Being better trained will enhance my next experience.

Bucket list to do a multi day walk in Scotland

Wilderness Scotland were very helpful in meeting our needs and providing useful advice on planning the trip. When the time came to embark we had all the information we needed and every check in went smoothly.

We had an absolutely enjoyable experience despite the finest Scottish weather that was thrown at us. We managed to book our trip during the middle of a severe weather front that provided cold, blustery conditions throughout the week. There was a day or two of sunshine but aside from that every day was full on rain gear and warm clothes. The scenery was beyond any imaginable expectation. I reluctantly put my camera away as each new turn brought forth stunning images. We planned for every weather condition and were very glad we did. The Highlands are an area that should be seen by all. Even late in the season, there were a fair number of walkers but, we never felt the trail was too crowded, most days we were all alone on the trail.

We booked through Wilderness Scotland. They provided excellent communication, direction and follow up, before, during and after our trip. The accommodations were first rate and exceeded our expectations. Daily summaries were provided for each town and included turn by turn directions to our B&B/Hotel. Restaurant options and whether or not reservations were suggested or required. Local hospital/healthcare information with contact information. A brief historical account of the areas we would be walking in. During trip contact information. We most highly recommend Wilderness Scotland for your trip/planning needs.

We walked the West Highland Way. Postponed due to Covid. When we finally were able to travel (from the US) our trip was spectacular. It would not have been nearly as good without the assistance from Wilderness Scotland.

Wilderness Scotland is top-of-the-line. They are professional, highly experienced, and excellent at what they do.

It was so great to have all the details taken care of for us so we did not have to worry about those things and instead just concentrate on the adventure itself. Having our accommodations set up for us by people that know the places was wonderful.
