Quite enjoyable

Accomodation and food excellent. Some aspects of the walking could have been better, eg leader's route-finding

Wilderness Scotland Outer Hebrides hiking-- a perfect holiday.

This was a small group hiking holiday to the Outer Hebrides and we hiked all day, every day except for one where we toured Black house village, the standing stones and did some history and culture touring. It was the most wonderful trip. We hiked peak to peak, hiked to white sand beaches, saw whales and eagles and seals and more. It was the most wonderful trip. We hiked peak to peak, hiked to white sand beaches, saw whales and eagles and seals and more. We stayed all together in an old hunting lodge where we'd eat delicious breakfast and dinner around a large dining table and decide the next day's adventures. Each day we saw views and natural wonders in the wilderness that you can only imagine could exist in a dream--yet they were real and we were there thanks to our guide and Wilderness Scotland's well organized, flexible and tailored trip. A true wonderful holiday, with amazing food, lots of exercise and perfect company with new friends as well as our knowledgable guide.

Our tour operator was Wilderness Scotland and our guide was Paul--for the May, 2022 Hiking the peaks of the Outer Hebrides trip. They were exactly where they said they'd be--and the trip exceeded our expectations every single day. They communicated so perfectly to get us there with the proper gear, and then they went above and beyond each day to create an experience of a lifetime for our entire group. They are a top notch tour operator, we loved the ferry rides, goofing off in our van as we drove to the hikes, we adored our lodging and the included gourmet food. It was truly a wonderful trip.

Wilderness Scotland Offered Fun, Adventure and Depth

I spent 8 days in the Hebrides with Paul, our guide, and seven fit and fun folks. We hiked up huge hills and connected summits together. We watched eagles fly, saw porpoises, seals and orcas swim, learned about the local peoples history, visited the Harris Distillery, and marveled at magical standing stones. Our accommodations were at Soval Lodge, a cottage in a storybook setting with a top notch staff. All around the trip was terrific and I ...

Hiking the High Points of Harris & Lewis in the Outer Hebrides

A mixture of hills and coastal hikes combined with visits to sites of cultural interest and the odd boat trip.

WS seem to have a magic formula which gets all aspects of the trip perfectly matched. The itinerary, the accommodation & food and the guiding. It also attracts some really nice people so there is always an excellent group dynamic.

We have been very pleased with this trip in the Outer Hebrides

Organized by Wilderness Scotland, this trip allowed us to enjoy superb hiking to the peaks of Lewis and Harris. We were accompanied by Keith, an expert guide with historic and scientific knowledge, a nice person very open and ready to help. In addition, we were lucky enough to have fine weather, including Sunshine ! Accomodation was great in the Soval Lodge.

The hiking was occasionally challenging but our guide was excellent. He was able to make sure the routes did not exceed our abilities. He was very knowledgeable not only on the geography of the region but also on the plants and wildlife. The lodge we stayed in was very comfortable with friendly staff and very good meals. A wonderful, trouble free holiday.

Wilderness Scotland created a trouble free and wonderful vacation. The staff in the office answered all my questions quickly, whether through email or online chat. The guide was extremely skilled but he was also very patient and fun. I loved that I didn't have to do any planning beyond getting to the Inverness train station to meet the group. All the other logistics and hassles were taken care of by Wilderness Scotland. I will absolutely use them again in the future.

Wilderness walking- high points of the Outer Hebrides

We explored different areas of Harris and Lewis each day, taking in the highest hills, along with magnificent beaches and a lot of local history. Based in a gaming lodge beside a loch, the accommodation was perfect and the food outstanding

Wilderness Scotland is a company catering for people who like to get off the beaten track. This was my second trip with them and I've been delighted both times by their very professional approach right through from their easy to follow website offering a fantastic range of holidays, booking the trip and finally the experience itself.

Wilderness walking in the remote Outer Hebrides

Daily hikes, very remote and rugged landscape. A full on tough week with a small group and superb leader. Covered most areas of Lewis and Harris.
