On Foot Holidays. First time we have used them. Very well organised and an excellent and responsive personal service from start to finish. Good value for money.

We spent five days walking in the Sabine Hills north of Rome, staying in small hill towns or agriturismos. The countryside was beautiful but off the beaten track so we only saw a few other walkers the whole trip.

Our trip was arranged by On Foot Holidays and went very smoothly. The local host, Stefano Fassone, was particularly helpful.

We were looked after extremely well from booking to return. The self guiding was fun and easy to follow with just enough challenge. The routes, accommodation, food and everyone involved we met were a delight.

Friendly, knowledgeable very helpful and well organised.

We had a great time in the Sabine Hills. It's beautiful countryside with rolling hills and lovely views. We enjoyed our stays in small hilltop towns. Our local hosts were gracious and attentive.

From the first contact to the end of the trip, we felt cared for by the On Foot team. They handled every aspect of our trip - arranging lovely hotels and smooth baggage transfers as well as many delicious meals. We would travel with them again.

This was a point to point walking holiday and the first we have done with Onfoot holidays. We had a wonderful time. All the arrangements, luggage transfer, accommodation and route maps were excellent. The countryside was beautiful with flowers and trees just coming into leaf. The places we stayed were all small and charming yet each had it's own unique character. The food was delicious everywhere but especially in the two agroturismos we stayed in. The small hilltop towns were fascinating and there were few if any other tourists. We walked for between 4 and 6 and a half hours a day but there were choices of route to lengthen or shorten this.

Excellent communication and response to all queries. The information pack we received with maps etc was the best we have ever had from similar travel companies organising walking holidays. We would highly recommend them and intend to travel with them again.

Self guided walking in some beautiful unspoilt countryside in the hills north of Rome. Excellent maps and route instructions plus some very relevant and useful practical advice given in a booklet, received prior to the start of the holiday. Our luggage transported, I loved the variety of walking from place to place and was able to enjoy the delightful company of my son and his girlfriend (who live and work in Rome). The accommodation ranged from a stylish Palazetta in one of the most picturesque medieval hilltop towns to a remote Agriturisimo with delicious homely food. All the places we stayed were comfy and clean, and we were made to feel very welcome. We covered 10-15 km most days which meant we could savour and absorb the countryside and villages we passed through. One day we attended and enjoyed an Italian cookery session.

Always pleasant and efficient. Lovely to deal with Made you feel special and cared for-all communication, whether by email, telephone or letter was very personal. Pre-holiday information and advice given was all very relevant and helpful, as well as professional; it inspired confidence.

We walked from Contigliano in the Sabine Hills north of Rome to Mompeo using forest trails, old logging roads and sometimes country roads passing through small villages, old fortified towns and farmlands but a lot of the walk was along scenic trails through and over the Sabine Hills. We stayed at small B & B's and tourist farms. The accommodation provided in each place was excellent and we enjoyed home cooked food. We could not fault the directions, maps and other information given to us and we thoroughly enjoyed our trip.

They were extremely easy to deal with and they always responded quickly to any queries we had and provided all the information we wanted. We also had the feeling that they would always be there to help us if we ran into any problems. It was a pleasure doing business with them.

Our walk trip started about 100 kms north of Rome and involved walking between Hill towns in the Sabine Hills. Our ages are 75 and 69 but we managed the walking comfortably though we were pleasantly tired at the end of each day.

I found the On Foot team very efficient and helpful. They were quick to organise the bookings and were always very quick to reply to any queries we had about the trip. The "walk package" was well presented and very comprehensive with maps(with the route marked), walk notes, historical information and good restaurant tips. They followed up with a questionaire and were keen to take notice of our comments. We thought the accommodation was very well chosen with hosts who were keen to help us. At the end of a day's walking they provided exceptional meals.

Good varied walking in little known and untouristy countryside. Excellent organisation in terms of walking notes, collection off baggage and the wonderful hosts in the small and friendly places we stayed.

Seem to be a small outfit who give very personal attention, explaining all details, with friendliness and professionalism. A real pleasure to deal with by phone and email.

a self guided walking holiday in the Sabine hills around Rome. We walked each day from one hill top town to the next with our luggage being transferred on ahead of us. The route was well marked and our instructions were excellent. We found the scenery beautiful, through woods, open pasture, farms, olive groves. We stayed in bed and breakfasts and agritourismos and ate local food. The hosts were very welcoming and we enjoyed the holiday immensely.
