Undiscovered Northern Kerala

Undiscovered Northern Kerala

Undiscovered Northern Kerala Overview

Focusing on the northern part of the state rather than the more touristy south, this holiday lets you explore Kerala in a unique way. Cruise through the back waters on a converted rice barge. Explore the eclectic Cochin city with its mix of architecture, cuisine and history. Enjoy a spot of luxury camping boasting some of India's best birdlife.

Experience Kerala in a unique way. Explore the region away from the crowds and discover its authentic and distinct charms. Spend two nights on a traditional rice barge, now converted into a comfortable boat. Absorb the dazzling Cochin city with its heady mix of sights and sounds, from the colonial architecture to the diverse cuisine. Move on to Eravikulam National Park, home to birds butterflies and the endangered Nilgiri Tahr Goat. Nearby are lots of beautiful tea plantations with passing tea pickers in their colourful safaris. Absorb the culture of Thalassery, a bustline commercial town with a rich cultureal heritage - once known as the Paris of Malabar. It was an important stop on the spice trade and features various colonial mansions overlooking the arabian sea. Wind down on a beautiful houseboat in the northern Keralan backwaters, with comfortable bedrooms and wicker canopies. Finally, make your way to the beach and have three to four days to relax and enjoy swimming in the Arabian Sea.
