Everything went to plan

We did a self drive in Ecuador and a cruise in the Galapagos. Every day was memorable. The whole holiday was well organised. All our daily information was clear and all our local guides were friendly, helpful and informative.

From the initial planning stage onwards the communication was good. The package they put together was excellent. All the accommodation was of a good standard. Local guides were very helpful. Everything went smoothly. We felt we were in safe hands.

Great contrasting experiences from the hustle and bustle of Ecuador’s cities with their Spanish architecture to the rural landscapes of the high Andes with their local artisans and markets through to the stunning wildlife encounters and volcanic landscapes of the Galapagos.

JLA provided excellent service right through from the time of booking to throughout the trip. Very knowledgeable agent. The service has not declined since the pandemic unlike some other tour operators.

We had an excellent tour of Quito and Cotopaxi for one week and then flew to the Galapagos islands to travel around the Western Islands on board the Galapagos Legend where we saw a remarkable amount of wilde life both above and below the sea.

This is our third visit to South America with Journey Latin America, they really know their stuff and on all of our extensive travels with them we have only ever had one hitch (due to bad weather beyond JLA's control ) and our tour leader worked incredibly hard and got things back on track within 24 hours. Had we been travelling alone it would probably have been a week stuck where we were.

2 week trip starting in Quito, 4 nights cruise in Galapagos on Santa Cruz II, 4 nights in Ecuadorian amazon at Napo Wildlife Centre, 3 nights at Hacienda Zuleta - horseriding and hiking.
