A driving tour of Cuba

We arrived in Havana and stayed there for 3 days. We loved Havana. We then drove to Vinales, then onto Las Terrazas. Then on to Cienfuegos and Trinidad and then back to Havana. Much of the architecture is beautiful in many places. We enjoyed our time in the rural communities seeing how they lived and farmed. We felt our trip gave us a good insight into the life of Cuba.

Our tour operator was Journey Latin America. The people we delt with were very helpful and really seemed to know Cuba. A good organisation to use.

Great 'homestay' tour in Cuba

Rented a car and toured six locations. The 'homestay' option was excellent and we met some great hosts who were very helpful and welcoming. Cuba is a great destination with great diversity.

Greta local knowledge and local support. Very helpful in finalizing an itinerary and advising on car rental, which proved a great option.

Cuba self drive

We asked Journey Latin America to combine and enlarge their two self drive Cuba options and it worked fantastically allowing us to see so much of Cuba. Having the freedom that comes with the car allowed us to visit some less visited places and in particular some stunning botanical gardens.

Rating for tour operator:

Always responsive and client focused using reliable and efficient local operators. This is our second time with JLA-the first some 13 years ago- and their performance remains outstanding. We have recommended them to so many people over the years and without exception those people who have used them have found them exceptionally good as well.

See Cuba before MacDonalds gets there !

My third time in Cuba - a beautiful place. We had a hire car and drove around the eastern end on the island. The hotels were good and the roads were bad ! Such an experience to see a country with an amazing political history. There are problems of course, but very few places have that feeling of magic ---

The second time I have used JLA. Both times were brilliantly organised. My ideas were taken into account and I felt safe and secure with the advice and help. I would highly praise their UK side AND the links with the Cuban side.
