Day 1: Hanoi - Halong Bay & Lan Ha Bay

Following breakfast leave Hanoi for a 3-hour drive to Halong Bay. (160 km)

Arrive at your jetty in Halong City towards noon and proceed with check-in formalities. After your welcome on board, a lunch will be served while cruising leisurely through Bai Tu Long Bay, enjoy swimming or kayaking in Vung Ha area. The exceptional scale and variety of the geological rock formations in this area are sure to make this a future destination for cruising in the Gulf of Tonkin. End of the afternoon; enjoy a cooking demonstration on board. Towards the end of the day set anchor for the night as the sun sets followed by dinner. Overnight on Au Co Cruise.

Day 2: Cat Ba Island and Bai Tu Long Bay

Start the day with a Tai Chi class on the sundeck or enjoy the breath-taking views of the bay as the boats start cruising quietly. Visit the charming floating fishing village of Vung Vieng by traditional rowing boat. Take a tour at the Captain’s Bridge and the Engine Room. Enjoy lunch in Ha Long restaurant while The Au Co cruises towards Cat Ba Island which is famous for its national park, with more than half the island designated. This island, far and away the largest in the Gulf of Tonkin, is covered by a dense rainforest home to numerous indigenous species of flora and fauna. The secluded village of Viet Hai, situated in the middle of this pristine environment, is easily accessible thanks to a short walk or cycling trip and is where you will visit an organic farm. Enjoy swimming or kayaking in the peaceful Viet Hai Lagoon.

Barbeque buffet is available at the restaurant while the boat is at anchorage. In the evening, try squid fishing on the deck with our crew or enjoy a drink in the breeze at Lan Ha bar.

At the end of the day, you could join the kitchen staff for the fruit carving sessions. Overnight on Au Co Cruise.

Day 3: Halong Bay – Hanoi

Ta Chi lesson is available on sun-deck for any early risers. After a light breakfast on board, discover the Sung Sot (Surprise) Cave. Join a Vietnamese traditional tea ceremony before checking out. On your return towards Tuan Chau Island enjoy the view of magnificent rock formations as your boat weaves through.

Upon disembarkation, your driver will meet you for the transfer back to Hanoi. (160 km, 3 hours)
