From start to finish, I had and excellent time on my first proper walking from place to place holiday. All the information I received and accommodation booked was first class. I felt supported throughout.

I received detailed information about my holiday, the accommodation and route. All this contributed to a successful, enjoyable walking holiday. The accommodation booked was excellent and, as a single female traveller, I felt safe at all times.

I was unexpectedly in London and with a short time available I searched for a self guided walk that my son and I could access and then enjoy, booking with Mickledore, with whom I had dealt previously. The Vale of Lorton Walk was perfect. We drove to Keswick,where we left the car for the duration of the walk, then completed a 'circular' walk in the north west Lake District. The weather was perfect though bracing at times, the scenery beautiful and the accommodation very good. We carried day packs and our luggage was taken to each night's accommodation.

In 2016 a friend and I booked the Hadrian's Wall Walk with Mickledore and were impressed by their efficiency and the accommodation and information they provided. I therefore contacted Mickledore who were able to organise a walk this year and our accommodation and provide the necessary details at very short notice. As Mickledore, based in Keswick, specialises in walks in England, I feel confident that they can provide what they advertise.Their web site is very informative.

Our walking holiday (Vale of Lorton) was well organized and very enjoyable, but best of all we had great weather! Loved it ... the views were spectacular! I would highly recommend this walk.

Mickledore did a great job of organizing the tour (walk) ... everything worked out great. Exceeded our expectations.
