Tanzania Highlights Overview

This 8-day luxury Tanzania Highlights itinerary is designed to give you some of the best that Tanzania has to offer – in terms of both wildlife and hospitality.

Your journey starts in the Tarangire National Park, Tanzania’s 6th largest national park. The area is known for its large elephant herds and iconic baobab trees dotting the landscape, as well as the passing herds of wildebeest and zebra. It also hosts the regions primary water source during the dry season, and hence makes for some exciting game viewing of a wide variety of animals during this time. You will stay in a luxury tented camp, where you will be treated to the finest Kenyan hospitality.

From Tarangire you will head off to Lake Manyara National Park and a nearby working farm, where you will stay for the next leg of your trip. Here you will be immersed in the beauty of the surrounding area, whilst again being treated like royalty. A day trip to the Ngorongoro Crater is an absolute must – learn about this fascinating region and spend a morning watching the comings and goings of its inhabitants and discovering the various flora in the area.

Today sees you travelling via a short light aircraft flight to the famous Serengeti region for the final leg of your Kenya Highlights holiday! Spend 3 nights at a luxury tented mobile camp, becoming immersed in the migrating wildebeest herds. This area is well known for its migrating wildebeest and zebra herds but is also a popular attraction for the lesser known Nile crocodile and the infamous honey badger. This is an ancient region steeped in the rich spiritual history of the Masai people – so make sure to spend some time learning about the local culture and traditions.
