Imagining Neolithic life from the 21st century.
A week of walking on Orkney and exploring the islands with particular emphasis on the Neolithic history. This is not too difficult since on Orkney there’s not much architecture from the periods between the Bronze Age and now. The birds are also amazing and often when you walk along the cliffs, the birds are flying alongside you, or even below you.

Broadening my knowledge of the United Kingdom
A very informative visit to Orkney through which I learnt a geat deal about the history & geography of the islands & a chance to see Scapa Flow, an important part of British naval history in both world wars. The 5,000 years old Neolithic sites make you stop & think.

Ancient Orkney.
A week of walking on the springy turf of Orkney, looking at Neolithic and Viking archaeological sites as well as at the geography and natural habitats of the birds.

Rating for tour operator:Kudu Travel specialises in small group holidays focussed on walking: a van is used to get the group to the starting point. The guide is knowledgeable and informed and can always answer questions. There's no better way to get to know a place than having your feet on the ground; driving around doesn't do it in the same way.
