Amazing sailing in the Hebrides

I spent a week sailing the Eda Fransden around Skye and had the best week of my holiday. I participated in crewing the boat, hoisting the jib, reefing the mainsail, learnt heaps of history of the Scottish Isles, hiked over uninhabited islands, ate the best food provided the the ships cook and met great people from all over the world. Absolutely amazing time.

A wonderful Hebridean sailing experience

Sailing in the Hebrides on a lovely old traditional sailing boat with a great crew, gorgeous food and perfect weather. A trip of a lifetime. Couldn't have been better.

A great team of three - skipper, mate and chef. They made the trip a wonderful experience with their competence, friendliness and attitude. The booking process was also very straightforward and efficient.

Sailing around the Scottish Hebrides

Sailing in beautiful scenery with a very knowledgeable crew whom I felt safe with. We were encouraged to take part in the sailing as much as we could. Amazing food, comfortable beds, brilliant trip.

Sailing around Skye on Eda Frandsen

Group sailing holiday around the Isle of Skye on the Eda Fransen. No experience necessary - although need to be happy living on a boat for a week - and helping out with sailing the boat.

Wilderness Scotland organised the trip - although it was effectively run independently by the owner of the Eda Frandsen - James Mackenzie.
