Zambia, perfect walking country

Zambia is one of our favourite countries in Africa, and it really appeals to travellers who are looking for a genuinely authentic and slightly adventurous bush adventure.

Zambia is predominantly a very exclusive, traditional safari destination with excellent guides, warm hospitality, small camps (some are still owner-run) and a over-riding sense of adventure. All our holidays to Zambia are tailor-made to suit individual requirements, with accommodation ranging from luxurious lodges to adventurous mobile camps. Normal game drives are complimented by superb night drives, walking safaris, boat safaris, fishing and canoeing.

The priority big game areas to visit are the South Luangwa

The priority big game areas to visit are the South Luangwa and Lower Zambezi National Parks, set on the banks of the Luangwa and Zambezi rivers. These parks offer stunning scenery, great wildlife and between them the full array of activities. In central Zambia, Kafue National is another wonderful park that is often combined with South Luangwa and Lower Zambezi. More specialist regions include North Luangwa (especially for walking), Liuwa Plains, Kasanka and the Bangweulu Swamps.

In the south-west corner of Zambia is the town of Livingstone, next to iconic Victoria Falls. Whilst the falls themselves are mesmerising, a visit to the area can also include a relaxing stay on the Upper Zambezi River.
