Everest the Hard Way made Easy!

Don't get me wrong, it was still a tough trek over the three high passes of Renjo La, Cho La and Kongma La, over ice and snow. Don't get me wrong, it was still a tough trek over the three high passes of Renjo La, Cho La and Kongma La, over ice and snow. We walked the Khumbu Glacier and up tot he Gokyo Lakes and even squeezed in the ascent of Gokyo Ri and Kala Patar. However it was made easy by the helpful, smiling Sherpa guides and the stunning strong nepalese porters who did it all with us while carrying huge packs. It gave you the sense that if they could smile while carrying those packs then we could surely keep putting one foot in front of the other! The support from KE was excellent and the local staff superb. There were risks of issues with the flights out of Lukla and our KE staff jumped in and made it all work for us. We couldn't have had better service. I couldn't rate KE any higher; they are the superlatives of trekking! I am currently booking for next year's trek!

Rating for tour operator:

KE made the Hard Way easy; they took the stress out of the holiday and made it all easy. From the second I phoned up to enquire, all the way through to my return to the UK I was looked after, cared for and made to feel special. It was a superb experience from start to finish. The booking staff were knowledgeable, informative and helpful. The local staff in Nepal were great fun, exceptionally welcoming and friendly, immensely strong and just oozed experience.
