West Highland Way by Mickledore Travel

Loch Lomond

The West Highland Way route begins in Milngavie near Glasgow and finishes in Fort William, at the foot of Britain’s highest mountain, Ben Nevis.
The route follows in the footsteps of drovers, pilgrims, soldiers, clansmen and cattle-rushers. The walking is a mixture of lowland meadows, loch sides, moorland and high mountain passes with stunning highland scenery. Some of it is straightforward and some of it involves scrambling. It is generally well maintained but there are sections where the going is rougher and parts can be muddy. Some areas can be very exposed so its important to be well prepared, as the weather in Scotland is very unpredictable.
