12 May 2015 - Safari and beach trip. Offer valid from 1st July – 31st October 2015. Bookings must be made by 30th June.
Expert Africa, the UK’s leading safari specialist, has an exceptional offer on safaris (including drives, walking and boating) from luxury camps in Tanzania’s Selous (Africa’s largest game reserve) and Ruaha National Park (vast and untouched) plus, post-safari, a stylish lodge on a white sandy beach in Ras Kutani, about an hour’s drive south of Dar es Salaam.
Three nights at Siwandu in the Selous Game Reserve Tucked away beside the beautiful Lake Nzerekera - noted for the towering borassus palms that rise from its waters - this is a very plush camp with spacious tented rooms raised a few feet from the ground on wooden platforms. Arriving by boat, all you see of the camp are the tall apexes of the main lounge / dining banda which has been built on high stilts. Enjoy a safari by boat, on foot or in a 4WD - the area has abundant wildlife including giraffe, impala and lion – and then relax by the swimming pool, surrounded by luxuriant vegetation.
Three nights at Jongomero in Ruaha National Park Situated in the south-west corner of the park, far away from other camps, this is a real wilderness experience. The stylish, colonial camp consists of eight ‘tents’ (large, stylish canvas constructions with high-quality furnishings on polished wooden floors), raised up on wooden platforms, spread along the banks of the Jongomero River. From your veranda you can observe a variety of animals, including elephant, walking down the seasonally dry riverbed.
Three nights at Ras Kutani south of Dar es Salaam Arriving by rowing boat across the calm waters of a lagoon, this is an ideal place to completely relax at the end of your trip. Ras Kutani is a rustic yet sophisticated lodge on a quiet, wild and beautiful stretch of sandy beach, tucked in amongst lush vegetation. The food here is excellent: tasty and imaginative with plenty of seafood incorporated into the menus.
