Family holiday based on the Aeolian Islands and Sicily with volcanoes, water, walks and adventure

This active family holiday is a week of island hopping, water fun, short walks and hands-on geography lessons. From Sicily, we transfer by hydrofoil to the island of Lipari for 4 nights. On Lipari we enjoy a coastal walk with fabulous views over the shimmering seas and islands and have fun making pizzas at a local restaurant. Every day there is opportunity for swimming in the sea, and also we can kayak or do some paddle boarding on our free day off the island of Vulcano. Our third island is Stromboli, classified as one of the most beautiful, we see the ‘stream of fire’, the smoke and lava which flows from of this ever-active volcano. An afternoon and early evening boat trip with swimming stops allows us to experience the lava flow in the dark. Our holidays ends on mainland Sicily, with a stay at the foot of the smouldering Mount Etna. We walk on this famous volcano and learn of its history before and optional visit to the nearby adventure park. With lots to see and do, and plenty of water time for the children, this holiday is in a word...... fantastico!
