Terrible guide ruins holiday of a lifetime
I am an experienced mountain walker and trekker but have always wanted to do a Via Ferrata holiday. I booked this holiday at the beginning of the year to do a hut to hut Via Ferrata trek in the Dolomites. It was a group of 8 with 1 guide. The guide was extremely unprofessional. He was an unhelpful, rude, volatile, aggressive bully. He excluded 3 people from the trek after the 1st day because he did not think they were quick enough. (They ...

I booked this holiday at the beginning of the year to do a hut to hut Via Ferrata trek in the Dolomites. It was a group of 8 with 1 guide. The guide was extremely unprofessional. He was an unhelpful, rude, volatile, aggressive bully. He excluded 3 people from the trek after the 1st day because he did not think they were quick enough. (They had travelled from the U.S. and Oz) Each day was like a forced march with the guide's aim to get it over with as quickly as possible and be at the next hut by lunch time. He completely ruined my holiday.

We understand that on your trip, forecasts of afternoon thunder storms meant that for reasons of safety, your group had to complete the via ferrata routes in good time.
