Italy and the Amalfi Coast is famed for its delicious food, stunning coastline and 10 hours of daily sunshine, making it the perfect base for an amazing family adventure. During our week we explore this rugged UNSECO listed Amalfi coast by an optional kayak excursion and on foot along the ‘Walk of the Gods’, and then we walk through the historic streets of Pompeii and up to the lofty crater of the famous Mt Vesuvius. There are plenty of opportunities for swimming and snorkelling in the warm waters, especially as our base is in the authentic Amalfi coastal town of Minori. Little lanes lead down to the palm-lined streets and the dark-golden sand beach. Our holiday ends with one night in Naples which is packed full of historic and archaeological treasures and has splendid views of Vesuvius. No family holiday in Italy is complete without a pizza making session and some free time to take a boat trip through the sparkling waters along the coast or to the island of Capri. Mix in some gelato and lemoncello, and we have all the ingredients for a magnifico holiday in Italy.
