Day 1: Arrival in Labuan Bajo

On arrival in Flores, you will be met by our local representative and transferred to your hotel. Overnight.

Distance and travelling time: 13 km, 32 mins

Day 2: Rinca, Pink Beach and Komodo Island

Wake up early for an exciting full day searching for the Komodo dragon. After breakfast transfer to the harbour for a four-hour boat journey to Komodo Island. On arrival, a local ranger will escort you on a one-hour trek in search of wild horses, wild water buffalo, deer, pigs, wild boar, tropical birds, and the mighty Komodo dragons.

Lunch is taken on the beautiful Pink Beach with time for swimming and snorkelling. Continue by boat to Rinca Island, the second largest island in the Komodo archipelago for a soft trek with a local ranger through the spectacular scenery of savannah looking for wildlife and Komodo dragons. Hike up to the highest viewpoint of the island for beautiful far reaching views of Flores and the surrounding islands. Return by boat to Labuan Bajo and transfer back to your hotel.

Day 3: Labuan Bajo to Ruteng

After breakfast, drive to Ruteng, the capital of the Manggarai district, the largest rice producing area of Flores and an important coffee producing area. On the way, stop to visit the Mirror Cave and the spider web rice fields at Cacar. Continue to the traditional village of Ruteng Puu for a visit to the Liang Bua Cave. Overnight.

Day 4: Ruteng to Bajawa

After breakfast, drive to at Lake Rana Mese, a small crater lake in the middle of the forest. Visit the traditional village of Bena to see the megalithic stones and the old thatched-roof houses before arriving into Bajawa, a town surrounded by volcanic scenery. Explore the unique Ngada culture around Bajawa.

Day 5: Bajawa to Moni

After breakfast, take a scenic drive through stunning landscapes to Moni, gateway to the Kelimutu National Park. Make a visit to the traditional village of Wogo which host impressive ancestral stones and typical Ngadu and Bhaga shrines. and enjoy some time at the Pengga Jawa beach famed for its blue pebbles and black sand. Overnight.

Day 6: Moni, Mt Kelimutu, Maumere

Early in the morning take a short walk to the mysterious Kelimutu Volcano to witness the spectacular sunrise over the three crater lakes, each of which is a different colour. Return to the hotel for breakfast before leaving for Maumere. En route, stop at Paga Beach, and Sikka to see the old church and the Ikat fabric displayed in the Ledalero Museum. Overnight.

Day 7: Departure

Today, you will be transferred to Maumere Airport for your departure or continue with your Indonesian adventure.
